Gingers Pet Play Pen!
Pet care experience
My name is Ashiera feel free to call me Ginger! I love all animal's but dogs are my favorite. My dog Dale passed away 2 years ago and I've felt an emptiness in my heart ever since. Dale in his old age acquired spinal paralysis I've gained experience in different ailments with pets during that time. I’m comfortable and confident with administering medicine to include shots and a little extra TLC. I've had at least 1 dog in my life since I was born. My first dog name was Junior and he was like my older brother. Both Junior and Dale were Airedale Terriers (big dogs). I've done dog and house sitting for family and friends since the age of 12. I have cared for dogs of various breeds and ages. Everyone's dog loves me to pieces because I love them as my own! I am open, willing and excited to care for all types of pets to include reptiles, rodents and farm animals! Just please no spiders 🙅🏽♀️

Ashiera was wonderful with my dog - she played fetch with him the whole weekend and got a kick out of his quirky personality! Will definitely use her again!
Ashiera is the sweetest!! Our pups loved her and she took the best care of them and our home. We will definitely be in touch.
Ashiera stayed with my pups for over a week. She checked in frequently and my boys always looked very relaxed with her. She is a good communicator and pleasant to deal with. I would recommend Ashiera and wouldn’t hesitate to have her stay in the future.
Our meet and greet went really well, even she and I hit it off having things in common so I trusted her. As I was leaving for my flight to visit my family in California (my brother-in-law is a Marine and he, my sister, and my niece are stationed in Japan, they were made to fly to California to have her baby which has been stressful for our entire family), she told me she would be late because a dog ran away, which made me nervous but what was I going to do? I couldn't get a last-minute sitter to replace her fearing my animals would also get loose. A few days prior my dog started having loose stools. Right before I left, they started to form, which I let Ashiera know about. She told me at first her pooped seemed normal on Friday, Saturday around dinner time they were half liquid/half solid, then a few hours later she called me seeming frantic that Lulu was having diarrhea and the cats pooped on the counter? Poop? I could also hear Lulu barking and she yelled at her saying "you're being rude!". I told her at our meet and greet my dog ONLY BARKS if she has to go out, eat, or wants a treat............After we talked it through she realized the "poop" was cat vomit because it looked like food and not poop (just my luck my animals got some GI bug while I was away), so I told her look, clean up what you can, use the carpet cleaner, Febreeze, I don't care what the carpets look like because I'm getting them replaced soon. I felt horrible for her and so scared for my dog, but there was nothing I could do about it and my first instinct was to send her a $200 tip on Venmo. BIG mistake. I not only cut my trip short by one day (now she tells me her poops are solid- too late I already changed my flight), lost time with my sister who I haven't seen in two years, but she got paid for the full day of Monday even though I was coming home Tuesday morning. I texted her twice Monday morning to let her know I would be home soon (last text was 10:25 EST). When I got home I could see she did her best to clean up the poop on the carpet, yet there was an empty Sprite bottle it looks like she gave to my dog to chew on laying on the floor, a fortune from a fortune cookie next to the couch, and some weird, white crusty material near my dining room table. I had no idea what it was until I looked in my laundry room - it looked like she tried to clean something up with the Arm and Hammer Powder Detergent I had but no longer use (I only realized because the box was open). It was crusted and took me days to get off the carpet, not a small area either. Needless to say, THIS IS POISONOUS TO ANIMALS. Seriously? She had plenty of time to clean up, communicate, and perhaps give me my money back which I would greatly appreciate ($200). For someone who sells themself to be a great dog sitter, I have taken the time to reflect and am still so unsatisfied. At the end of the day, everyone is alive given my two stars...but to reiterate, I would like my $200 back.
