Hi! I’m Asher and I just graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in December 2024. I got my undergraduate degree in Comprehensive Special Education, and I just completed student teaching. Throughout the next 6 months or so I plan on substitute teaching and dogsitting (of course) until I get a long term position as a Special Ed teacher. I am also looking into dog training programs as I have hopes to become a dog trainer in the future. Not only do I have a passion for working with individuals with disabilities but I also love animals. There’s never been a time in my life where my house wasn’t full of a bunch of pets:) I’ve grown up with a variety of pets from a yellow Labrador Retriever to ferrets, parakeets, hamsters, rats, cats, guinea pigs and so on. I have a lot of experience caring for pets of all shapes and sizes. I also have experience with dogs of all ages from 8 week old puppies to seniors. My yellow lab is now 13 years old and my dad and I co-own a 2 year old retriever mix puppy. I started pet sitting and dog walking when I was 10 years old and have been doing so for family and friends ever since. I live on 7 acres of farm land so your furry friends would have lots of space to play outside and scents to sniff. Zeke is trained to stay on the property, despite it not being fenced in. However, per your request I keep your furry friend on a leash so they stay safe but also have the sense of freedom and independence when outside. We go on lots of neighborhood walks, hiking adventures, and visits to the dog park as well as spending time outside in the yard.
