Experienced animal care specialist

Pet care experience

I’ve been obsessed with animals for as long as I can remember, my mom and I were always rescuing injured animals and nursing them back to health when I was growing up, she really helped instill in me a huge love and passion for animals of all kinds. When I was 6, she took me to the shelter and I finally got to get a dog, I picked a Rough Coat Collie and named her Lassie, after my favorite movie at the time. She was my absolute best friend and I have cared for several animals since, personally and professionally. I have over 15 years of professional experience working with dogs, I have worked as a groomer, a dog handler at 2 doggy daycares, have worked in a dog training facility as a trainer and am currently taking classes for a dog training certification, and I have even trained my own service dog, so rest assured that your furry friend will be in loving and experienced care while under my supervision. I only take on 1-2 dogs at a time which I have found to be a lot less stressful on dogs in my care versus folks that take on many clients at a time, this also allows me to better assure that your pup will have my undivided attention at all times. I have worked with dogs of all sizes and ages including senior dogs needing specialized care and dogs with disabilities, I have experience administering medications including insulin shots, basic k9 and feline first aid, and CPR. My dog, Boogie, accompanies me on most overnight stays. He’s been socializing with dogs of all ages and sizes since he was a pup and is amazing with all of them.

Shade was wonderful with our crazy household. I'm addition to managing a hyper puppy, they also cared for a senior dog, a medically complicated cat who hates most people, four other cats, and poultry. They also did a wonderful job with general household things... Taking trash out to the curb etc. we were fine a full week and we got lots of pictures, videos, and great communication. 100% great pet sitter.

I appreciate Ashe's thoughtful questions and flexibility, Ashe is obviously an experienced petsitter. I think Nixie had a good time, and I got lots of videos of her playing.

They were fantastic with our boy, Nova! They were super attentive to his needs, gave us updates along the way, and we would absolutely use them again. Nova even has a new friend in Boogie! 😁

Ashe was very helpful with our pup! Pickup and drop off was easy and there were regular updates available throughout the day. I loved getting photos and videos, it helped me have peace of mind. I definitely recommend Ashe for your puppy care needs.

I live in a nice sized apartment with a bunch of room for your pup to romp around with my sweet dog, Boogie! We go on a walk to the park once a day to work on training and to play fetch, and several walks around my neighborhood for bathroom breaks and sniffaris, our complex also has a dog park. I have space to fit a crate if I need to go to the store or an appointment while you pup is in my care.

Information Ashe C. would like to know about your pet

Let me know your pups feeding and walking routine, if they have any allergies, special needs, commands you may be wanting to work on, or any behaviors that you think are important to be aware of. How do they do on leash when another dog walks by? How are they on car rides? I do my best to be accommodating of everything.

A typical day

I have an arsenal of really fun enrichment activities and games I enjoy providing dogs with to stimulate their minds and allow them to play out their natural predatory hunting sequence, which has been proven to relieve internal tension and stress while satisfying their prey drive making for a very happy dog. I also enjoy taking them on sniff-ari’s around the neighborhood, fetch at the park, and if you’re comfortable with it, possibly on hikes a bit more out of town and into the forest.
