"Dogs are not our whole life but they make our lives whole." I experienced this two years after the death of my dog a 90 pound sweetheart I had for 13 years and decided to switch careers from social work to Animal Welfare. I understand dog behavior, have great dog handling skills, can socialize dogs and continue to volunteer with a dog trainer. I've worked with dogs that are depressed, anxious, fearful, vision impaired, hearing impaired and disabled. The other skills I have are innate: a nurturing spirit, compassion and empathy. I'm available for drop-in visits during the day: potty breaks, play time, if he is ill or has a medical issue I can check on your dog, administer medicine or simply provide companionship while you're gone and dog walking, M-Sun. I love senior dogs and dogs with special needs and comfortable with all breeds and sizes.

Artrice is wonderful and an official member of the family now. She took great care of Honey over the Thanksgiving holiday and kept me up to date on their walks and day-to-day activities. I can't recommend Artrice enough. You and your puppies would be lucky to have her!
Excellent dog sitter. Tank remembered her from the rescue shelter and he went right up to her during our meet and greet. Artrice is very patient and caring, she definitely loves her job and the dogs she watches. I highly recommend!

It's important to meet a dog before being hired to sit and or walk them, so I can talk with a owner to learn about the dog, their personality, feeding/walking instructions, etc.. . Ideally this happens a few days before the start date of the job. My dog would never allow a stranger to come into our home when I wasn't home and this is a trait many dogs share. In our first meeting I want your dog to feel safe and secure.

Every dog is an individual. Where we go and what we do is based on what the parent(s) want. It's always what is best for the dog!
