Pet care experience
I have been around dogs my whole life. In my spare time I volunteer at an animal shelter, which is where I have developed my passion for dogs. I recently became a "certified dog trainer"and I have experience with many different breeds. I currently have two dogs of my own. I have a six year old cockapoo and a four year old LllapsoAapso/Havanese, which we rescued. At the shelter I have gotten to know and spend time with many different types of puppies and dogs. It is always exciting to see the new muzzles coming in and after spending special time with them, they soon get adopted into their forever homes and that is just wonderful to see. Looking forward to meeting you and your dog!

Arlene is fabulous! I have a 14+ year old and a 10 month old puppy. I am at total ease have her drop in on the pups, which she has done several time fir me and has been a life saver when I’ve needed her last minute. I’m at total ease knowing that she’s there.
Arlene is the best most compassionate person I have ever met. she is so kind and sweet to my “kids” margo and winston. she has been with us for almost 3 yrs I dont know what we would do without her.

I would like the dogs I sit for to be small to medium sized and spayed/neutered. I don't have a breed preference, I get to know and love each dog I meet by their own individuality.
A typical day
I will walk your dog where you usually walk them, unless you have a different path you would like us to try. If your dog likes to chase a ball or frizz-by we can do that as well. If your dog is less active I can pet and or brush him and give him/her some snuggles. I usually bond pretty quickly with dogs but I am really good with the shy types and when we get to know one another, they learn to be more relaxed and confident and we both have a good time enjoying each other. Your dog or pup will be in good hands with me, as I will just love them and keep them very safe till you get home.
