Pet care experience
I have lots of experience with all kinds of dogs and I understand that each one is an individual. I tailor my behavior to their personality so that they feel secure and loved. For high energy dogs, we play, walk, run, and allow that energy to be expressed in positive ways. For lower energy dogs, we play, but in a toned down manner. For the anxious or senior dog, I establish a level of trust, and we exert energy within their comfort level. I understand the anxious dog very well because of my rescue, Apollo. When you aren't there, you need to know your family is being taken care of. Especially since they can't tell you what happened while you were away. I take care of your family members the way I want someone to take care of mine. I love, care for, and protect them as if they were my own. I also have references.

We absolutely love having Arlene sit for our puppy. I need to know a little of their history...are they a rescue, have they been with you their entire life etc. Rescues tend to need a slower and more moderated approach. One that's been with you and has only known love and trust, usually adapts pretty quickly to someone new. I would also like to know if they've ever exhibited any aggressive tendencies towards humans or other dogs. That helps me to know how to approach the dog, and also lets me know what types of situations to avoid when he or she is with me.
A typical day
Keeping a dog in a familiar area is good for reducing anxiety, so I keep them in familiar areas and close to home. If they are more easy going, and can sort of go with the flow, I might take them to a nearby park just for a change of smells and experiences.
