I lead a very active lifestyle, especially since I own a working breed dog and partner predominantlywith rescues specializing in shepherds and malinois. I start my mornings at 0630 with about a mile walk/run. My own pup have specially prepared meals, so I often let them play in the backyard while I prep their food. Everyone is usually fed by 0700 and I leave for work at 0715 once everyone is secured in there respective kennel. My lunch is at 1100 and I always come home since I have a puppy with a typical puppy bladder in my home. The dogs are let out to stretch their legs for about 45 minutes to and hour before I head back to work. I do take time to monitor animals in my care via a security camera that alerts me to movement as well as noise, and I have a 6 minute commute to work which means I can be home to check on your pets very quickly. My day ends at 1430, and once I get home (depending on the weather) we either go for a walk, play in the yard, or I break out the kiddie pools and splash pads for the dogs to enjoy. We do NOT go to any dog parks under any circumstances. This is for the safety of the animals in my care as well as my own. My yard is large and has adequate space for play. We end the night with dinner around 7 and a couple of chews to encourage every dog to release whatever energy they have left before bed. My weekends are always packed with trips to parks, farmers markets, dog friendly restaurants, and stores. My dog is a regular at many local spots and has even been featured on a few instagram pages! These outing occur on an a by approval basis only. Dogs coming into my care for the first time don't always do well with too many new things, so we like to proceed with caution and only take dogs for outings that we know will do well and enjoy their time. I can guarantee that with my busy life, even the most energetic pup will be thoroughly worn out.
