Pet care experience
My boyfriend and I have flexible work and weekend schedules (I work from home and my bfs office is right down the street) and are available for walks, drop-in visits/playtime, daycare and overnight sitting at our house. Our home is conveniently located in the very dog friendly, Downtown Durham. We are huge dog lovers and are always looking for new friends for our super-sweet 4-year-old Golden Retriever, Elway. As pet owners ourselves, we understand how hard it can be leaving your baby. We have lots of experience taking cute pooch pics and are more than happy to send updates each day. We will provide a safe, comfortable and fun home-away-from-home for your pup and will spoil them with lots of love, cuddles and playtime. Our open concept warehouse apartment also has three large fenced-in dog parks for the dogs to run around and play. Our Golden, Elway, is shy at first, and has plenty of energy to get out, but also loves to “Netflix and chew”. He is very submissive and is good at listening to other dogs' play/relax requests. He knows how to be gentle with smaller and older dogs as well. He has a very large collection of toys and is more than happy to share! We can’t wait to meet our next fur friend!

Arielle is the dog sitter that made my friends envious. She kept me constantly updated throughout Mayzies stay. The photos she sent were amazing. Arielle is warm and friendly, she was completely knowledgeable about different dogs and behaviors. Her place is set up well to conquer any issues that may occur, tons of toys and puppy lounging space.

We are VERY flexible with pick up/drop off times, but as a courtesy, please let us know ahead of time if you have a guesstimate for both. Please let us know if there are any behavioral/training characteristics that would be important to know/keep an eye on (barking, chewing, anxiety, potty training, crate training, etc.). We prefer to keep the stays more personalized for our Rover pups, so usually only accept, at most, 2-3 dogs at a time, and are happy to try to coordinate a meet and greet with the other dog/dogs beforehand if there are any concerns. It is also very helpful to understand your pup's daily routine (wake up/sleep schedule, potty times, meal times, etc.) To ensure the safety and health of all our pups, we also request that dogs are up-to-date on all required shots and highly prefer if they are on flea/tick preventatives.
A typical day
Elway loves Eno River Park, so if approved by you, we would be happy to take the pups swimming. [Medium/large size] life vest included! We also love trips to the pet store and walks to the many pet friendly places downtown!
