When I was 6, I wanted a dog. My parents told me no, and little me decided that if I couldn't have a dog, I would become a dog. My insisting to be walked on a leash and to have food served in a bowl on the floor didn't last long - as would be expected - and suddenly, my parents brought home a puppy! I was smitten, and have been ever since. My dog has gone to Doggy Heaven now, and in the house we rent, no dogs are allowed, but I still have a fierce love for Man's Best Friend! I want to be a dog sitter and walker for several reasons: to make owner's lives easier, to provide the best care for their dogs, and to have a job that I LOVE! Aside from caring for my own dog, I've helped neighbors and friends with walking their dogs and watching them while the owners are away. When I take care of dogs, my two main priorities are making sure they are healthy and happy. I like to visit dog parks while on walks - if the owner is okay with it - to let the dog romp and play and socialize with other dogs. It helps to get some of their energy out and to curb boredom. When I watch dogs while their owners are away, I make sure to feed them as instructed and keep their water cool and clean. I love to play with dogs, whether outside or inside, and walks are always a part of the day! I work 8am-5:30pm Mondays thru Thursdays as a nanny for a family near my home, but am available for early-morning walks/visits and late afternoon/evening/night walks/visits. Fridays thru Sundays are completely clear for daytime care! I can provide overnights any night, however I cannot board dogs in my own home.
