Pet care experience
I grew up on a farm with not only dogs and cats but cows, chickens, horses, pigs, and even bunnies and snakes. You name it I’ve either owned it or tried to bring it in the house in my pockets. As for dogs and cats specifically, I’ve had three dogs and too many kitties to count. I’ve bottle fed both and have trained my personal dogs from puppyhood. I can give advice on trouble areas in that regard (but I am not a professional dog trainer by any means). Last year, my dog Memphis was diagnosed with kidney disease. I administered medicine and care for him until he had to leave this world. All that to say, I am able to help with sick/elderly dogs. I currently have two cats, Khaleesi and Seuss, and a German Shepherd Dog, Cash, all of whom I love dearly.

Your pets will be my pets while I’m with them! I live in a home with a cat and a dog. If your pet is able to reside comfortably alongside my animals I’d love to have them visit us! I can be as active or relaxed with them as you’d like me to be. I have a large fenced in yard, and I spend at least an hour before and after work with my dog either playing fetch or going for a walk. Trips to the dog park are special treats for us. If you’re comfortable with it and they are at least moderately behaved on a leash, I’ll bring them along. If I am coming to your home, I will treat it as my own and leave everything how I found it. The litter box will be cleaned and the water/food refilled as necessary. I’ve been known to water the plants on the way out the door as well.

Please let me know as much as you can about your pet. Their likes/dislikes or things they are sensitive about for instance. Their typical daily schedule and activities. Feeding amounts/times. Keep in mind I have a cat and another dog (and chickens on the way soon) so if you've got a good boy/girl who loves chewing on kitties this may not be the sitter you're looking for. If they are iffy about cats but crate trained I can absolutely make that work. Please let me know if they need medicines administered and when.
A typical day
I love taking dogs on adventures. There are countless opportunities near my home to include the Croatan State Forest, both Emerald Isle and Atlantic Beaches, rivers and lakes, and of course, the local dog parks. If your pup is fairly comfortable on a leash, we can go to some dog-friendly joints around the local area. I frequently take my dog to Carolina Home and Garden for coffee and sensory play. If we're staying around the house, I have a large yard full of wonderful smells and chewables. I play fetch with my dog every day without fail and normally get a walk in around my work schedule. You tell me what kinds of things your dog likes to do and I will make every effort to include that in our visit! If you have a cat, you'll need to tell me their activity levels. We can do anything from snuggling in bed, to playing with feather toys, to going on adventures if you have them trained on a leash.

Availability
I am available most weekends and I work 8 to 4 throughout the week. When I am at work, I have an enormous yard for the pups to play in. If you have an escape artist, I can work with you on a solution that keeps them safe with as much freedom as you're comfortable with.
