Pet care experience
(Quick Intro: I am currently a student at Texas’s Tech University. On Tuesdays I am available after 4:30PM; Wednesday’s after 11:30AM; and in Thursdays I am not available as I have class all day. About Me: Since age twelve I have been an active member of the humane society of West Texas. My grandmother and I have fostered and rescued (and continue to do so today) both cats and dogs for many years. Over the summers during highschool break I volunteered at the local animal haven. On the weekends I volunteer at the South Plains Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. I care deeply for all animals and take their needs very seriously. I have experience in pets with special needs requiring medications and extra care. I am dedicated to animal rescue and care and hope to pursue a professional career in this field. I have done pet sitting before but I was accompanying my grandmother at the time. During school breaks my friends and I participated in walks for dog shelters as well as walking dogs living in shelters. Over the summer in high school I volunteered at the local animal haven. Summer 2017 I was a dog handler for a dog sledder in Fairbanks, Alaska. I cared for thirty dogs, provided food and water, took them on runs, and attended to any minor cuts and wounds.

Ariane grew up in a home with a variety of beloved pets over the years, which included dogs, cats, a lop eared rabbit, two hermit crabs, three fancy mice (who had to be kept in separate cages so they wouldn't fight), and two fancy rats (including one hairless). Ariane is a dedicated animal welfare advocate and a vegan. She volunteered with the local Humane Society for several years helping out at immunization clinics and adoption events. She has helped catch numerous litters of feral kittens, tame and socialize them, and find them adoptive homes through the local Humane Society. Recently, she rescued a dog wandering the streets and was instrumental in locating her owner. When she has a home of her own following graduation from college, she plans to adopt a rescue dog. Ariane has been a pet sitter for my cats and dogs for extended periods of time over the past few years and has always provided excellent, loving care to them. I highly recommend Ariane as a pet sitter for Rover.com. The care she would provide cannot be matched!

A typical day
If some dogs prefer to run than walk that is always fine, I enjoyed jogging with the rescues at the shelter. Fetch and tug-of-war are always a classic go-to but with owner permission first.
