I absolutely love dogs and your pup will be treated like family. What would you like to know about a dog before sitting him or her? Do you have any breed preferences? My dog has had issues in the past with dogs who are un-neutered. So it's preferable for the dogs to be snipped before staying with us. Do they get along with other dogs? I have one semi-dominant male. But he is extra lovable, once he gets a chance to meet and play with a dog. Do you have reliable transportation in the event of an emergency? Yes. Are you comfortable administering medication? I have no experience giving shots to dogs, but I've got cheese and peanut butter to help give the dogs pills if that's necessary. How much time do you plan on spending with my dog each day? I work at home, so I'll be able to be around the dogs constantly. If you have a backyard, please describe it. I have a fenced yard. There are no holes where the dogs could slip out. Plenty of room to run around and enjoy themselves. Where will my dog sleep? Dogs are welcome to sleep wherever they prefer; my bed, their bed, crate, etc. Depending on the amount of hair that they shed and how long their nails are, I might ask that they keep off of furniture. Where will you take my dog on walks? Tell me about it. We go around the neighborhood at least 3 times a day. We can visit off leash areas on weekends and couple days during the week. Though, that will be done based on your recommendations for your dog. Why I love dog sitting: I've loved dogs my entire life. Begged my parents to let us have one, but it never happened. I finally got to a point in my life where I could afford to care for a pup of my very own. Never looked back. About my yard: I'm living in a house that has a smaller, fenced yard. The dogs have free (supervised) reign of the yard while they're out there. No need to worry about them getting out as the fence is brand new and without holes. My experience administering medication I have not given shots before, but have peanut butter to give your dogs pills (if needed).
