Whether they're your best friend or fur baby, dogs hold a special place in our hearts. I can handle all pups no matter how nervous, grouchy, excited or anxious--I just love dogs and I know I'll love yours. A year ago my beloved dog passed away after a long illness. I joined Rover still nursing my wounds from losing my best friend, and the whole experience has inspired me to pursue a career caring for animals, particularly of the canine variety. So the more I’m around dogs, the better off I’ll be in fulfilling my passion, rather, my calling. I’m not ashamed to say it, but I’m one of those crazy dog ladies who loves to be around as many four-legged friends as possible. I’m okay with this label because it’s true. I’m what you’d call an extroverted introvert. I have an outgoing personality, so I like to meet new people and am interested in various social situations, but I also need to recharge by myself. Of course, solitude is always that much more enjoyable with a bundle of unconditional love and energy by your side. Besides caring for my senior dog, I don’t have specific breed or professional experience, however, I am a compassionate, loving, loyal, friendly, energetic individual with so much love to give. I am always looking to learn from every experience, so your adorable pup will be my number one priority at all times. Since I was a young child, my favorite thing in the world was to be around adorable pets of all shapes and sizes. I’m happy to be around all kinds of breeds––dogs bring so much joy into my life. My partner Johnny lived with me while I cared for my elderly dog, and he has a lot of experience with animals too. He grew up with all kinds of pets in his household, and he has a particular soft spot for Pit Bulls and Pit mixed breeds. We really make a great team because we compliment each other in every way. I’m responsible, respectful, and resilient. Losing my dog has taught me so much about loss and love, the fragility of life and how we have to make the most of every precious moment. Although we couldn’t communicate, I felt this deep connection to my amazing dog, and I know I will always carry the spirit of my best friend with me for as long as I’m still breathing. I want to take all this love and pay it forward. Please know I will treat your pup as if she were my own, and I will always have their best interest at heart. I will provide a safe and cozy environment for your best friend to thrive while you’re away. There are many pet friendly parks and recreational areas close to where I live that could be fun and exciting to explore! I'd like to use dog walking and pet sitting as a way to learn more about dogs and their different breeds and habits. I am planning to take classes in animal studies at a local college. I am looking forward to meeting you and more importantly your furry friend!
