Hi there! My name is Ariadne, I’m a PhD student here at Durham University, and I’m super excited to have the opportunity to take care of your best friend! I definitely understand that life gets crazy and you might have to stay at work late or go on a last-minute overnight business trip; that’s why I’m here. I’ve grown up around rescue dogs my entire life, and have been taking care of dogs generally for about 12 years. I used Rover before in the US and maintained a 5-star review with several repeat clients. I am very capable of handling all sorts of furry companions from miniscule to giant, young to old, and friendly to territorial/reactive. Dog, cat, and reptile friendly! Hi I’m John! I recently finished my postgrad degree at Durham and am now working from home with flexible hours. I have several years of experience with dogs, rabbits, and lizards and am keen to help Ariadne out in any way I can. Especially when there are multiple pets to care for, in our experience having two people allows us to give your pets the individual attention they deserve. With that said, we are aware that some dogs have specific handling needs or gender preferences, so we’re happy for just one of us to take care of them.

Ariadne and John took amazing care of our dog, Ruby. They took care of all her medication, and gave her lots of treats and attention to make her stay with them extra special. They were super organised and responsive too, which we appreciated. We felt completely at ease knowing she was in such good hands and they kept us updated every day with photos and videos 😊 We'd wholeheartedly recommend them!
We left our dog Thistle with Ariadne and John for a long weekend away. The couple arranged a met and greet prior to the weekend and were very thorough on all the information and care instructions for Thistle whom can be reactive and is also on full time medication. They sent updates and photos while we were away which kept my mind at ease. Thistle seemed very happy with them and we are very pleased with how the weekend went and hope to have them look after her in future. Thank you both :D
Norman had an overnight stay with Ariadne and John before an eight night stay. He got a bit stressed when didn't go back for him after a night but they helped him settle with lots of cuddles and the rough play he loves. Was frequently kept updated with pics and videos. John got himself a 26kg bulldog as a lapdog. Both lovely people and happy to trust them with Norman anytime
Dexter had a lovely day with lots of cuddles and tummy rubs (his favourite) he was super chill when I picked him up which was a good sign to me that he had been well cared for during the day.

A typical day
I like to take my charges to the park and around the neighborhood so we both can get our daily steps in. I’ll also gladly spend a little extra time playing fetch, brushing your pup, feeding them, or just lounging around with them after their walks.

Availability
I (Ariadne) am a PhD student located in Durham and as such my work days are extremely flexible and I have the freedom to work from anywhere. I (John) have a flexible remote job and can also work from anywhere.
