I have been a pet owner for 10 years. I love animals and I'm enthusiastic and upbeat. Hire me so I can put you at ease while you're away or busy. Rest assured your animal companion will be in the best hands! I will definitely provide care for one animal or two. I'm available currently on a part-time basis. Whether house sitting at your home or dog walking, expect me to be an attentive sitter who will make sure that the feeding/potty areas stay tidy. I will keep an eye on your pet's water bowl level daily at a minimum, and twice a day if the weather is especially hot. Also, I will make sure there are no bugs in food & water bowls---keeping the dry food dry and preventing canned food from getting crusty in the bowls. Plus, I will definitely provide appropriate behavior which includes respect for your property as your pet sitter while in your home. Currently, I am actively seeking more training in the proper way to care for animals. This also includes a working knowledge of emergency pet care and understanding the differences between breeds and temperaments so I can offer the best care for each individual pet. Being a pet owner for many years, I am aware that your pet is like your child, and when you leave town, you’re putting a lot of trust in your pet sitter. Be assured that I will always deliver on my promise of safety and comfort because I am trustworthy and patient with animals. Now when it comes to dog walking, I will be engaged with your dog --- meaning you can expect me to make eye contact with your dog and speak to your dog periodically through the walk. I have learned that this and speaking to a dog in a high pitch voice is very welcoming. I also stay alert to avoid dangers ahead of time when walking in your neighborhood or at parks. I work hard to spot a problem way ahead of time while avoiding it in areas with plenty of space to spare. We will have tons of fun and exercise under proper discipline. I always carry backup equipment such as a backup leash and collar just in case. And, your dog will always stay right beside me to maintain control and to prevent leash pulling. Our walks will also be cell phone free. This will allow me to stay engaged with the dog. I believe a proper dog walker can not give a dog full attention while yapping on the phone all day. But if I absolutely have to take a call, I always wear a cell phone earpiece --keeping calls short and stopping the walk briefly to take the call. You can also be assured that if your dog has a problem, I will try my very best to take notice. I believe a good dog walker should notice if a dog is limping, has a loose stool, throws up and has low energy, among other things. I always have my waste bags handy too! I pickup a dog’s stool at all times to respect property and the law. I can even use and recommend the most proper equipment for your pet. I can also recommend equipment to you if I think it will improve the experience of walking the dog. I'm also educated on the basics of house training, leash training and puppy training: After spending time together, you can look forward to getting a polite and upbeat message that's clear, positive, with optimism and lots of smiley faces. Please note I personally prefer individual dog walks, or 2 dogs at a time only. Sometimes walking 3-4 dogs or more at a time can look unprofessional and can be chaotic and dangerous. Yet on a positive note, it allows me to give your dogs lots of love! I will make a point of rubbing your dog’s chest and back periodically through our walks.
