All my life I have loved animals. I've had everything from small critters to large dogs. I have to fight the urge to take in homeless animals. Most of my pets are rescued. My first cat, Salem, was given to me as a Christmas gift by my sister, after my rabbit passed away suddenly. My second cat, Aries, found me! She was hiding in my parents' back deck with a litter of 5! I took Aries (the momma) and the baby kitties in, helped them grow until they could leave their mom, and then found them good loving homes. Aries stayed with me after she made me fall in love with her so hard, I couldn't bare to let her go. Next is Lilah. I rescued her a few days after Christmas 2017. I went to PetSmart with my sisters just to see some cats, and saw that she had been up for adoption for a LONG time. The rest of the cats there had already been adopted or had just arrived. I went home, spoke to my husband and he convinced me that I needed to take her. She is so shy and much more reserved than our other cats, but I love her company, and I know she loves and trusts me with the occasional cuddle sesh. Last, but not least is Fitz. Fitz appeared in my parents' front yard without a collar, dirty, thirsty, and hungry. He was so appreciative and loving towards everyone. We couldn't understand how this dog was in this condition. After checking for a microchip and trying to find his family, I decided to keep him. And it was the best decision I ever made. Since then, we have had countless animals come through, needing temporary housing, nurturing, and love, and we have reunited them with their owners or found them homes. I don't know how or why, but animals just flock to me! It's like I'm a magnet and they know that I can provide them with the attention they need. I make it a priority to know how to cater to the needs of the pets I take care of, and make sure that they are not neglected and that they're pampered like they deserve. In my home, they have room to roam (over 2K sq ft inside) and outside in our large fenced backyard. I will make sure your fur babies stay warm in the cold months and that they stay cool in the hot months. And I will make sure they feel loved.
