Pet care experience
My son (16) and I both love animals! When it comes to dogs, we've watched freshly adopted puppies all the way up to dogs in their late teens. We have experience with dogs of all sizes, as well. We love wet doggy kisses, couch cuddles, and playing fetch (if that's what your dog enjoys). My son absolutely loves playing with dogs, whether that's tossing a Frisbee or tugging on a rope toy. We have a large backyard and are in close proximity to a number of dog-friendly parks and trails. Our girl Layla loves having playmates, too! We currently have one rabbit and three reptiles in the home. We regularly volunteer at a local rabbit shelter, and both have experience caring for other pets such as guinea pigs, rodents, cats, snakes, and reptiles.

We have a large fenced-in yard for plenty of safe playtime and burning off doggy energy. We follow your preferred approach to pet care, including feeding schedules, amount and frequency of treats, and allowance of dogs on furniture (allowed on couch/bed unless you say otherwise).

Personality traits! Does your dog get protective of its food dish and want privacy while eating? Do they have minor toileting concerns and need piddle pads or sanitary straps? What makes your dog nervous? Do they prefer a crate or a bed to sleep on? Stuff like this is all helpful! We are open to just about any breed as long as the temperament is acceptable. Pitbulls do not scare us - they're big love bugs!
A typical day
Walks around the neighborhood, at Adams Ricci park, or at Wildwood Lake. Playing with Frisbees or balls in our backyard. Lots of ear scritches and belly rubs!

My teenage son is home during the school day, so there is always at least one skilled sitter in the home throughout the day. We are both home in the evenings and overnight.
