Hi there, my name is Arcata and I can't wait to meet your pet! I love animals of all kinds and have made my career out of it as a wildlife biologist. My work is seasonal and I love to spend time in between wildlife jobs working with dogs and cats. I grew up with pets and have worked professionally with a wide variety of animal sizes and temperaments, from tiny salamanders to huge bison! I have informal veterinary experience through working at a humane society for a year and am comfortable administering medications. I pay special attention to feeding schedules and special dietary needs to keep the animals I work with happy and healthy. I am also not afraid to get dirty and never shy away from cleaning up after animals.

Arcata definitely has a way with animals... her gentle quiet knowing, and her friendly mellow playfulness with them, soon wins over even the skeptical ones. She clearly has a big heart for animals. Arcata's background in wildlife biology and humane society work, means she knows more than the average pet sitter about veterinary things, animal behavior and how to work with different animals. She also is a responsible, careful house sitter/pet sitter who we and our adult daughter both depend on. Highly recommended!
Arcata is a people and animal person. Within literal seconds my usually hesitate cats were on her lap and purring happily. They come right over to her whenever she enters the house. Her consistent, timely, happy manner is a great help and addition to any family. She does her job well & with love. Any pet owner would be blessed to have her interact with their animals. I have seen her work her wonders with not only my cats but dogs as well. Any animal needs you have, Arcata L is your girl!
Not only is Arcata punctual, communicative, responsible, and fun loving, but she connects with dogs and cats alike with ease! My two cats (very shy and high needs) immediately felt comfortable with Arcata and even allowed her to administer their medication. I would hire her again in an instant!
