Pet care experience
I was raised with tons of cats and dogs. Right after being born my cat Heidi had a litter of kittens on my parents bed. Growing up, we had two dogs and six cats. The house was full of animals and love. Being around animals, always brought comfort to me. Our family adopted a rescue dog named Charlie close to two years ago. My most recent experience has been raising him through potty training, commands, lots of love, playing rope tug a war, throwing ball for him and taking him on walks. My children love dogs too and may be with me on occasion, so it is important I only walk kid friendly dogs. I am excited to walk dogs so I can spend more time with animals since I feel that amazing connection to them. I also love talking to them too and notice when I sing to my dog Charlie, using his name, he gets super excited.

April is wonderful. She is personable, smart, loves pets, and very good at following directions, as well as being creative and careful if anything unexpected happens while you're away (say, an ant infestation.) I knew our cat was in good hands with April as soon as I met her, and I was right! The pond fish and plants also benefitted from her visits. I'm looking forward to working with April again on our next trip.
I have known April for over fifteen years to date. Her love and dedication to dogs, especially my Lexy is beyond compare. She is energetic and well aware of what a dog needs and understands an owner's request. She is responsible and over protective of any dog that should fall into her care. I recommend her highly for any position that requires canine care.

Unfortunately, I have dog preferences since 2 out of our 4 in our family have some animal allergies. So for dog boarding we have to only watch dogs that do not cause allergens. Generally it is poodle or poodle mix, some types of terriers, shih tzu, havanese, maltese, portugeze water dog, wheaten terrier, bichon frise, etc... Generally it is dogs with more hair than fur that do not shed.
A typical day
We would take walks in our neighborhood. Lots of pretty dog walking paths and a very dog friendly neighborhood.
