Pet care experience
I grew up with a love of animals and while I don't currently have any pets, I have had a cat, two retriever mixes, a pit bull, and a boxer mix in my home in the past, and have experience with huskies, American bulldogs, and many others. When I'm out and about and I see a dog being walked I will almost always stop and ask if I can pet it. Some friends say I have a "dog sense" in the same way that mothers seem to have a "baby sense", as I'm always one of the first to notice when a dog is nearby. I'm comfortable with pets who have special needs, and have some experience with aggressive animals, as well. I haven't yet met a dog I've been afraid of, or one that I haven't fawned over. I'm good with old dogs, young dogs, sick dogs, and active dogs. I enjoy training and am consistent with rules so long as you tell me what rules are in place for your pup. I do have experience administering oral medication and can do insulin injections. I am always willing to learn what special needs your pet may require!

I would not hire this sitter again. First day of scheduled visits, she missed the time frame she promised (9 am). Later in the week, she brought in mail and a newspaper (which she was not asked to do) and left our front door ajar!!
You know how you know? I had April housesit/cat sit/dog sit for the weekend when I was out of town. It was my first time using April and Rover. everything went great. The house was tip top, everything in order, communication, punctual...everything seemed great. But how do you know? The critters were so happy and seemingly content when I got home and the dog seemed disappointed that April had to leave. My highest recommendations!
We came home to the big cat bowl of dry food empty, our cats had no food. The litter box was not maintained much or even at all. We had to come home and clean up dog puke, lots of dog hair. I also left a nice cash tip ahead of time.

If you have a routine, I will have an alarm. I have a rather unreliable sense of time, and so my phone controls my life. Dinner times, medication times, bedtimes, let me know if there is a typical time you want them up and around. I have a 'standard' alarm for potty breaks that I will adjust depending on your fur baby's age. I am patient with pups and always do my best to make sure any rules given are followed with corrections made gently but firmly when they are needed.

I have no breed preferences, and the only things I need to know are what your dog likes and dislikes, and what, if any, special rules you have in place are. If you have any commands you are trying to work on I am willing to help reinforce any training you have done with them, I will just need you to show/tell me how you're working with them and what commands you use.
A typical day
I love to play with pups of all kinds, and am more than happy to help them learn. We can work on any commands you may be trying to teach them, and we can go check out all the neighborhood smells if you're comfortable with me walking them.

Availability
I am currently otherwise unemployed, so I have plenty of time to give to your fur babies. If you are comfortable with me leaving them alone for about 4 hour stretches, I also DoorDash to help make a little extra money. If you aren't comfortable with them being alone for so long I can adjust my time to your comfort needs. Feel free to talk to me about how much time your pet requires and I am happy to oblige.
