For Dogs <25lbs + Socializing Pro

Pet care experience

Open for drop offs and pick-ups between: Mon-Thurs 7:30am - 6:30pm (drop offs up until 6pm) Fri-Suns by appointment only HOW MY DOG LED ME TO MY PURPOSE! Thank you for taking a peek to see why my team and I are the top dog sitters and so much more! It all started with my beloved dog, Pepe le Pew. He loved adventure, walks and chasing squirrels. He loved window watching and playing with other paw-pals and every day he loved playing fetch and tug of war with me as much as I did with him. So naturally, I bought us the BEST home to create the PALACE HE deserved! It has a large, private lake nearby with loads of wildlife where we can feel the fresh grass underneath our feet, get away from the traffic and take in the peaceful sounds and scents of nature. I call it Pepe’s Paradise because it’s a slice of heaven 5 minutes away and the dogs LOVE it! My home has windows galore for squirrel and bird watching, bringing a live version of Animal Planet right to our doorstep, along with a doggie door to surprise the squirrels with when dogs dash out to chase them up a tree! In the summer we open the french doors and let the dogs run in and out as they chase one another after morning walks. We have a large, fenced-in back yard with a deck to watch the sunrise or take an afternoon nap on under the shade of our tree canopy. Since opening my home to other fur-babies, I installed a ‘safety zone’ at the entrance/exit that prevents any ‘Houdini’s’ from being able to escape accidentally. Because of Pepe, over the last 3 years, my home has truly become a Palace perfect for small/medium dogs and I wouldn’t have it any other way! DOG SITTING/TRAINING ISN'T MY SIDE HUSTLE, IT'S MY PASSION! I’m not doing this while I work another job or just until I find something new. I’m here 24/7 to sit (dogs) & stay! I make it so p'awfect for paws the majority of our fur-clients ‘protest’ when they have to leave, even though they're always happy to see their humans. WHY OUR DOGS DON'T WANT TO LEAVE! I care about meeting ALL of your fur-baby's needs so much so that I’ve hired a team of loving, experienced dog-lovers to help ensure each VIP (Very Important Pet) gets the following daily: 1. Walked 1-2 miles while their leash is tethered to our body and additional safety measures like GPS trackers (weather permitted and per each dog’s physical capabilities). 2. Mental stimulation. From my lifelong studies of dog behavior/communication, fostering, volunteering at animal shelters and training my dogs for fun I know physical exercise is not enough so we work on teaching them commands such as; focus, leave it, stay, down, come, sit, off, quiet and more multiple times a day! Not only does this help us manage a small pack of dogs at once, it provides for healthier, more mentally balanced fur-babies. 3. Socialization. I train all of my team members how to read and understand dog behavior, if they didn’t know already, so that each dog is above all else, SAFE and at ease! We do much more than this too, just ask when you come for a meet n’ greet! 4. Rules, boundaries and limitations. Just like little humans, dogs do best with routines and boundaries. We don’t allow them to develop bad behaviors here and ensure they get their much needed naps when they start getting cranky. 5. Play time! Everyday we play games like fetch, wrestle and tug-of-war with your dog between walks, socialization, naps and feedings. In addition, we’re always coming up with new and fun things to do, such as dancing or getting the hose out on those warm sunny days! Ask about our play zone for wet & wintery days too! 6. TLC! Of course, every dog gets lots of tender, love and care here. From cuddle puddles with humans and paw-pals, individual lap time and infinite ear and belly rubs they’re always well-loved. 7. Last but not least, SAFETY! I have created a sometimes meticulous, but oh so worth it, p’awsitive introduction process for each new arrival. We customize our approach based on each dog’s body language, communication, confidence and more! You’ll have to come visit to see our unique, risk-lowering, intro methods to learn more. (This IS our special sauce to fostering life-long paw-pals! ;-) ) There’s seriously no end to how we care for our fur-clients because teaching dogs how to be dogs while getting all of their mental, social, physical and heart needs met when visiting is our mission! (We even make our own toxic-free cleaning solutions!) WHY OUR CLIENTS CHOOSE US OVER CHEAPER OPTIONS (besides the aforementions ;) Now that you’ve heard how we meet all of your dog’s needs how about your needs? As a dog parent I understand how hard it is to leave your dog with a stranger. So many worries pop into your head from what if they get loose to wondering if they are stressed the entire time you’re gone. This is why we send you as many videos and pictures as we can, making sure some are frame-worthy photos you can use on social media or as your screen-saver. You’ll see how happy, cozy your dog is when visiting. (I send these via link to a shared Google album, hence why Rover doesn't register all of the photos we send and states only 50% of the time. Rest-assured, it's 100% of the time!) As of 11/22, we only accept dogs that are 25lbs or less because small/medium sized dogs need a special place where they can feel safe and not get overwhelmed too! We used to accept dogs up to 35lbs and have a few slightly larger dogs, on occasion, that are Grand-Fathered in and vetted to do well with smaller dogs already. When requested, I’ll provide you with tips and tools you can use at home to help your dog with separation (mild) or social anxiety and more! If we’re working to teach your dogs new tricks and correct unwanted behaviors they need to continue this while at home so that it sticks. This means you get more than a dog-sitter, you get a trainer who learned through the school of hard knocks and years of self-education just because I enjoy it! You can feel safe knowing we separate dogs by gates when feeding and only crate them if you ask us to or for their safety, temporarily, should we need to during new arrival introductions. They even get to sleep in the bed with me at night should we all fit and you approve. I think my raving customers sum it up best as I repeatedly hear from them that: 1. “Now I never have to worry when I travel because I know my dog is in the best hands with you, April, you’re the only one I trust.” 2. “You have a first-class operation here that tells me you know what you’re doing.” 3. “I love all of your videos and pictures, you should be a photographer too!” 4. “You taught me more than my trainer has about my dog.” You probably gathered by now that I'm serious about making the boarding and daycare industry rollover by changing the model to one that fulfills every dog's needs and lowers risk of injuries and trauma. It starts here first by making sure we foster the Happiest Tails on Earth! What's more, everything that makes us the best isn't even listed here, but you'll have to bring your little VIP over and see for yourselves! Come sniff us out by submitting a request and including a message with the BEST times/days you’re available to stop by for a meet n’ greet and I’ll get back to you asap.

I ask all of these questions at the meet n' greet but essentially what their sleep and food routine is as well as any behavioral challenges they may have. We've helped with many, besides aggression. Also, if they have any food allergies/sensitivities, separation anxiety or cannot ever be crated, even if only for 10 minutes. Any specific commands they know or a list provided at time of service so we can do our best to keep consistent with their training too! (My cat is always outside or separated from the dogs unless your dog likes cats!)
