Pet care experience
I have been pet sitting for over 10 years and love spending time with animals. I cannot commit to having my own pet with my medical residency approaching so I am looking for other ways to spend time with animals.

April is phenomenal as a pet sitter. I absolutely trust her with my two dogs and have used her services multiple times and plan to continue to do so. She is so reliable, always checks in and sends photos. One of my dogs is quite skittish with new people and even she warmed up to April quickly and seems so much more comfortable when we travel which of course makes me more comfortable. april spends as much time as possible with the pets while she’s house sitting and is excellent at communicating before during and after. Couldn’t ask for better!
April has done an excellent job taking care of our dog, Captain. Captain is an older dog who needs special attention to at times due to some health issues he experiences, and I have never hesitated that he isn't receiving the absolute best care when he is with April. Both, April and Captain, have developed such an amazingly sweet relationship which makes me know that we can count on April to take care of my beloved dog with greatest affection towards. In addition to Captain, we also have an exotic animal who has special requirements that can be difficult, even so April has executed each task with great ease giving me a piece of mind while away. Additionally to pet sitting April has taken care of our home for both short and long periods of time and has treated our home with the utmost respect. Our family truly appreciates April's time, effort, and attention to detail every time we are lucky enough to book her services! Highly recommend April for any of your pet and/or house-sitting needs!
I am VERY happy to recommend April as a pet caregiver. April has stayed at my home and taken care of my 2 dogs and senior (17 yrs) cat. Each of my pets has their own habits and idiosyncrasies and April accommodated each of them with care and good cheer. She kept in touch with me so that I knew everything at home was going well. As an example of her responsible nature, an issue came up with a needed home repair and she went out of her way to help find a solution when she didn't have to. She occasionally calls me and asks to visit with my dog and will come and pick her up and take her for the day. This is my older dachshund who I treat with care because of her back problems but I feel totally comfortable when she hangs out with April. She is kind, funny, intelligent and resourceful. I can't imagine a better choice for someone to take care of your pets.
April is a fantastic dog sitter. She has taken great care of our Luna: this includes staying with her, walks, and of course being the primary care giver while we were out of town. One can tell that April has the experience of having grown up with a dog in the household. She loves animals and they love her back!

My own home has an enclosed yard and is very pet friendly. I have had several friends bring pets over through the years and have never had any issues. I like to let the pets wander around the house and backyard to figure out their new environment. I welcome them on the couch with me for a movie and take them on walks around the neighborhood. I also love hitting the Rillito river path for a nice view of the mountains.
Information April H. would like to know about your pet
I would prefer docile dogs that love human attention. I would like to know any aversions the dog has. I would also like to know if there have been any biting, or attacking incidents in the past.
A typical day
My neighborhood is great for a walks but I also like taking dogs to Rio Vista Park, and walking them along the river path. I will have toys they can chew on and new places to explore with them.

Availability
I go to the hospital 5 days per week, usually anywhere from 5-8 hours. I have lots of free time and like to be active, so I anticipate lots of walking the dog(s) and being outside.
