Do not use this sitter for large or extra large breed dogs. I chose April because her profile said she had no children in the house. I warned her before hand that my 1yr mastiff puppy is large and excitable (as puppies are), and she assured me she had a large dog and was used to the size and energy. When I dropped off my 2 dogs, there was a small child in the house that I assumed was visiting due to her 'no children present' profile. I stayed shortly to ensure there were no issues, and offered to leave a cage which she declined. I got 10 minutes down the road and received a message that my puppy was chasing her medium size puppy and the child (normal puppy behavior) and it was making her uncomfortable. It was the night before I was leaving for a day and I didn't have any other options, so I offered to bring the cage back and her keep him in the cage outside of potty breaks. She accepted, I returned and gave her the cage. She met me at the door and was smiling and assuring me it was okay, just for a day, and he would be well cared for. I heard nothing more from her, besides a picture of my dogs in the morning. My friend picked them up the next evening and shortly after I received an email stating an incident was reported. Neither myself or my friend that picked them up were notified of an incident outside of the initial chasing around the house.

We are always so appreciative of April. She has never turned us down and loves our high anxiety dog and cat like her own. April even came during a blizzard and below freezing temps to check on our fur babies and house. We also love the pictures that are shared and the open communication. Thank you so much, April!!
