Loves jogging and long walks!

Pet care experience

I'm a young professional who studies canine cognition and animal training. I have extensive experience with a wide array of temperaments, including reactive, shy, and anxious dogs, and have parented pups from 8 weeks to 10 years. I'm physically active and love long, scenic walks. If your dog needs a running partner, an exploring buddy, or a quiet companion, I'm always ready for trying something new. Strolls around the neighborhood are especially fun for me! Every animal has unique wants and needs. I look forward to knowing more about your animals and building a relationship of mutual respect and trust. I've had reactive and anxious pets myself, and I know how to build a strong relationship with them. I have a flexible work schedule, allowing me to work from home and spend time with your pooch! I have my own dog who will keep them company and help them adjust to the novelty of you being away. I can may be away for up-to four hours, and can do drop-in visits as needed. I'm careful to follow your instructions to the T, and will keep you in the loop with daily photos and updates. My dog, Stella, will come along, and will help exercise your pooch during extended stays. Your dog and Stella will never be unsupervised. I have experience watching as many as seven puppies at a time and will be able to successfully manage any situation. I am highly communicative and will do my best to help your dog transition to your absence as much as possible by following their routine.

Anya stepped in quickly for me when I was really in a bind. I asked her to do a last minute service (don’t do this to her) and she was so accommodating and up for the challenge. She was kind, patient and trustworthy. I am glad I chose her.

Anya was so attentive and knowledgeable. She was able to accommodate my last minute request and even came over to meet my pooch to ensure compatibility and comfort level. My dog absolutely adored her. In the future when I need walking services, she will be our go-to!

We could not have asked for a better sitter for our pup. Anya was trustworthy, caring, and kind. She gave us detailed updates, often, which we very much appreciated. She even worked on helping with training our puppy. We hope to use her again and again and again!

Anya is the level best! A more kind and responsible person you will be hard pressed to find. The only down side is that now our dogs compare us to Anya. "Anya ran around the yard with us"and" Anya took us on walks 3 times a day" . We may never hear the end of how wonderful Anya is.

Information Anya P. would like to know about your pet

Before working with your pet, I'd like to know whether or not they have issues with anxiety, aggression, other pets, or people. Does your pet take any medications? If so, what and how often? Are they sensitive to certain foods? Do certain actions or movements startle them? Please share all details you feel will help me take better care of your pets!

A typical day

I love finding new places to go! Hikes in natural parks or local battlefields are really fun. We'll explore the neighborhood, and for some mental stimulation, work on some fun tricks! I believe in approaching training from a cognitive approach, in which I try to account for dogs' natural behavior in human-dog communication. I use positive reinforcement to motivate dogs and make training fun!
