For drop-in visits, I will ensure all dogs in the home have plenty of food and water, replenishing as needed if that is ok with the owner. I will give the dogs plenty of playtime and cuddles. I will make sure the dogs haven't eaten anything they shouldn't. If I find that it has occurred I will do my best to contact the owner immediately with as much information as possible and I am willing to drive the dog to the vet in an emergency. If an emergency occurs and I am unable to reach the owner, I will still do my best to ensure that the dog is treated quickly. For dog walking, I will take the dog on a long enough walk to release pent up energy and relieve themself. I will clean up any messes made on the walk. My only condition is that if I feel it is either too hot or cold for the dog to be going outside, I will alert the owner but will not take the dog on a long walk. Cold temperature limit will vary between dogs, but in general, if the dog lacks enough fur or lacks proper items to keep it warm in cold temps that is my limit. Note, dogs like huskies that are built for cold weather are an exception. Hot temperature limit is less flexible meaning if I can't comfortably have my hand on the pavement for at least 5 seconds I will not take the dog on a long walk.
