Pet care experience
I've been pet sitting for over 10 years, fostering dogs/cats/horses for over 25, and was a vet tech and a dog groomer. I have a 4WD truck as well as an AWD Outback, so you can always count on me showing up. I have extensive experience with horses as well (Yes, I blanket and do turn out).

Susan has helped me out several times taking care of both my dogs and my horses. My dogs just love her and she clearly has plenty of experience with horses as well. She sends me pictures of them when she feeds or checks on them which helps me feel much more comfortable when I'm away. My dogs and my horse are all pretty spoiled as I'm always here to feed them on time and make sure they have what they need so when I go away I get a little nervous. However, with Susan, I've never had any concerns and always feel comfortable that I can count on her to watch over and take care of them. She is truly my pet's guardian angel!
I've known Susan for more than 2 years and have had her care for my fur babies (1 dog and 1 cat) many, many times. She is happy and funny and wise in the ways of animals. Actually, wise about many things. I know my pets are being well cared for, played with, and loved on. Susan is a great communicator and gives regular updates during my time away. She is absolutely the best!

I take care of client pets and houses as if they're my own. I'm very respectful of privacy and consider it an honor to be entrusted with something as precious as your loved one's safety and care. Being allowed into someone's home takes a level of trust, and I recognize and respect that trust and will never let you down. I am a nut about gate locks, security and animals being safe at all times.

I like to meet the dog with the owner before showing up to walk/baby sit them. That way the dog knows I'm 'okay'. I want to know the dogs needs, abilities, likes/dislikes, is it leash reactive, dog reactive, etc. I want to make every visit as positive for the animals as possible.
A typical day
I'm a big fan of taking dogs on sniffaris where they get to dictate the speed of the walk. I find this wears them out and is more fulfilling than simply making sure they do a prescribed distance. I backpack and hike with my own dogs and can take owner dogs to Castlewood Canyon or just around the neighborhood, whatever the owner would like
