I met my best dog bud at age 20, he was just about 2 then. Though he's passed now, for more than 12 years Blaine and I spent nearly every day together. Through that relationship I learned about care, communication and love. As Blaine got older and his needs and abilities shifted, I learned ways to assist his mobility, administer a variety of medications, and care for him while respecting his body and dignity. Blaine beat cancer with a raw diet, minimal medications, massage and acupressure. These practices greatly increased Blaine's overall longevity, ability, quality of life and comfort. I grew up with a dog and cats in our family home, learning to train dogs by the time I was 10. Though these lessons formed the basis of my approach, I've grown into my own effective approach to dog communication. Today, influenced largely by a room mate dedicated to dog care and wellbeing, I embrace practices of affirmation based training with my current dog partner, Snax. I value good communication and am consistent when it comes to upholding your commands and training structures. This care extends beyond my relationships with animals. I look forward to working with you in sharing my skills and caring for your pets, be they seniors or any age!
