Pet care experience
When I was a little girl I always wanted to be a veterinarian, I grew up with dogs, cats, hamsters and one bird, the bird escaped :( I love taking care of animals and going for walks outdoors. Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom was my favorite TV show when I was growing up. I currently create custom critter cartoons, write and illustrate children's books and I'm looking for a way to keep active and be with fur friends. My trade is graphic design, I worked for a local TV station for years, we were allowed to bring our pets to work. This summer I spent 4 months on Mackinac Island helping out a friend and my constant companion was a very active Jack Russel. Presently I am working on my next children's book, Mac and Marie and Forrest makes Three.

Great care! Loves my dogs!
I am so happy I found this app and super thrilled it hooked me up with Annmarie! I was left in the lurch once my mom decided she could not help me out a few weeks before I left for vacation. However within 24 hours, I communicated with Annmarie, met her, and booked her services. I used her for both overnight and day visits, and her rate was extremely reasonable! On top of that, she is extremely reliable, excellent with pets (I have 2 cats and a dog she cared for), very friendly, and super responsible! I can not say enough good things about my experience with Rover and with Annmarie. She took out the stress I was feeling from having to make arrangements on short notice and ask someone to care for my animals/family members that I did not know. Feel free to book her and experience the stress free situation of knowing your animals are being lovingly taken care of!
I need more stars for Annmarie. I cannot stress enough on how awesome she is. She took care of my fur baby (almost) better than me. She was easy to contact and communicate with. She came over for a meet and greet and the minute we saw her with my baby -- we knew she was the one. She was very thorough in learning everything about our puppy. While she stayed at the house -- she not only took care of our puppy, but also our house. She sent us multiple pics during her stay and kept us up to date. We and our neighbors are definitely going back to her. She is awesome!!!
Annmarie loved my dogs from the minute she walked in the door! She picked up on each of the dogs' unique characteristics and really took the time to listen to me. When she came for the drop in visit, she sent me messages as well as pictures on how the dogs did. Her schedule is flexible which is great for me since my schedule is unpredictable. I highly recommend her as a caregiver!

Currently I live in a Condo and unfortunately I can only have a dog over night for 2 nights at a time, but I am available to stay over night to care for your pets. It's a lot of fun taking care of dogs and cats alike. I love the outdoors and going on long walks, it's nice to have a companion along the way. So far, I have taught two cats to sit and take treats out of my hand, which is pretty tricky. It takes a lot of patience, since cats are far sighted, they don't exactly see the treat but can smell it:)

I have had really great experiences caring for cats and dogs mostly, a few reptiles. I love to walk, enjoy the presence of all sorts of cats and dogs. There have been a few aloof cats, but that's what cats are like sometimes.
A typical day
For the past four years I shared my studio with Toby (Tobias) the big beautiful Black Cat, that had his house on the refrigerator, we mostly played at night after the dogs went to bed. My boyfriends daughters had to Dachshunds, they are hilarious. I take them walking along the Railroad track and through the woods where we cleared trail for them. The last four summers I was on Mackinac Island and walked my friends dog, a Russel Terrier, Forrest. I also would dog sit Forrest when my friend had business off Island. Forrest is the best dog. He is always on, waiting to play fetch continuously and taking walks along the shore and through town. What a dream.

I just moved to Rockford, Michigan to be closer to my daughter, her husband and their two cats Anubis and Steve:) Typically I work from home as a Graphic Designer part-time. I work remote for a Design Firm doing conceptual design etc. So, I am home most of the day and make my own schedule.
