Pet care experience
Aside from personal experience with my own two pets, I have sat and walked numerous other dogs within and outside of my neighborhood for over 7 years. I have experience and am comfortable with dogs of all different sizes and temperaments, as well as dogs with different levels of training. I enjoy walking, running and playing with my own dogs, but am also comfortable with just being a relaxing presence for your pet. In addition to dogs, I am also available and able to care for numerous other pets, and have personal experience in caring for birds, cats, fish and hamsters. I am incredibly flexible and am willing to work hard to be able to meet any and all needs that your pet may have.

Annika was a fantastic dog sitter for our Elmer. She had no problems taking him outside and playing with him, and was a lovely house sitter. We got to see many cuddles on our feed in the living room and she was always attentive to him, especially in keeping with his already established schedule. In addition to walking Elmer twice a day, she also kept things clean and tidy for us when we returned. Very attentive pet and house sitter, we loved having her!

Personally I am used to my pets being uncrated and free to roam in both are yard and at dog parks. However I understand that not all pets are comfortable or suited for such freedom in the house, and can manage those expectations easily.

It is important for me to know a dog's sociability and exercise level before I meet them. It is critical for me to know if they are comfortable with dogs, comfortable with people, if they get protective or defensive over different toys, etc. An antisocial dog is better suited for a quiet hike than a rambunctious dog park, and so knowing this information helps me keep your pet healthy and happy, while also maintaining the safety of others.
A typical day
Personally, I like to take my puppies out twice a day, usually for hikes or to the dog park. My usual walk consists of a nice neighborhood for anywhere between 1 and 3 miles (depending on the fitness and size of the dog), usually culminating in some tennis ball throwing or chasing them around so that they run around a little more to burn off those last zoomies post-walk :)

Pet care is a common part of my weekly routine back home, and involves a walk in the morning and a walk at night, with playtime interspersed throughout the day when both me and my puppies need a break.
