Hello! My name is Annika and my pup's names are Sawyer and Logan. I recently moved to Redding to start a new job at Turtle Bay Exploration park after working in Denver Colorado with Tigers, sloth, otters, and more! I previously worked with Petsmart for 5 years as a professional dog trainer and had many clients trust me with their pets while they were away on vacation. For the past year and a half while I was living in Denver Colorado, I also worked for the highest rated dog training company in the state. My experience with dogs and their behavior is vast and I haven’t met a dog that I haven’t gotten along with or who’s training goals I couldn’t help owners obtain. I can pet sit short term in my home, but long term sitting requests need to happen in your home to make things most convenient and comfortable for your pet. I accept pets of all ages including young and old and I maintain any training you have to the highest standard. If you’re interested in dog training in addition to pet sitting, please let me know! I’d love to work with you and your pooch! It is up to you how active you wish us to be while you’re away. We can go hiking, the dog park, play dates with my dogs, walking, swimming, etc. if you want your pup to have an active time while you're away or we can stay in and cuddle if you have a less active dog. My dogs are also very dog friendly and love to play, if you're looking for more socialization with other dogs. I don't bring my dog on pet sitting dates unless requested by an owner. A bit more about me: My name is Annika and I've been working with pets for my entire life, but more recently I have been studying animal/canine behavior and working as a dog trainer for the past 8 years. I have over 9 years professional experience working/caring for just about every animal and pet imaginable from the small cats, dogs, rabbits, and guinea pigs, to the large horses, lions, tigers, coyote, and more! I have a vast knowledge for problem solving, nutrition, general health, and enrichment games for all types of animals. I have worked with many different types of trainers and myself have gone through several training courses with my own dog to ensure my knowledge is all encompassing! My experience administering medication With the proper guidance I feel comfortable with any type of medication. I've given oral, topical, subcutaneous injections, and IM injections to various animals in my career. If I keeping on top of medications is critical to your pets health, you can insure I will make sure it’s done safely and correctly.
