Pet care experience
I've grown up around dogs my entire life and have watched both family and friend's pets. Being around dogs is more of a hobby for me instead of a chore and I would be happy to help provide the best care for your best friend. I've had experience caring for some seniors, dogs with medical/special dietary restrictions, and even those a bit more timid around strangers. One pup may love snuggles and one love space so it's important to care for each dog individually, same as you would for any person! I work from home so I'm available most mornings and afternoons (barring any scheduled meetings!). I let my pup out at 6am, 830am, 11:30am, 2:30pm, 6:00pm, and 10:30pm. My dog and two cats have free roam of the apartment. Food and water are consistently replenished throughout the day and frequent walks are taken for the pup!

Annalie was great! She took time to search out our shy cats and give them treats and send us pictures, in addition to cleaning up their mess.
Annie was amazing!! She was great with my cats, spend time with them and made sure they were well taken care of. She even coaxed my timid cat out from the closet for some pets - you can tell she’s been a pet lover for years :)

I've had the most experience with big dogs, anywhere for 60-130lbs. My current dog is a 9 year old rescue pup named Bear. He is a new addition to our family, adopted in February, but he has made our home and hearts full. He has extreme separation anxiety and takes regular medication which has helped me better understand dogs who need a bit of extra love. I've also had experience with labs, hound mixes, huskys, and German Shepherds. These are simply dogs I've had the most interaction with and little dogs are of course welcome.
A typical day
I am located in the Navy Yard area with access to plenty of parks and long walks! . As a runner, a nice walk/job is also a possibility. All dogs are different so if hitting the trails isn't their cup of tea, curling up for some good belly rubs or fetch in the backyard are things that can be expected daily.
