Before I accept a dog sitting opportunity it is important to for me to know if you dog has any allergies both food and environmental. I also like to know the dog's general temperament, whether they have any triggers that excite or upset them and similarly if there is anything specific that calms or reassures them. I grew up with several big dogs in my home and have a soft spot for big pups. However, when I was in college I volunteered for the Chittenden Co. Humane Society and was able to interact with all shapes and sizes of dogs. It was here that I met some of the biggest personalities in the smallest of pups. Each dog is so different and that's what I love about them!

It is important to me to cater to the needs of the dog and the owner as every situation is different. I am just as happy to run and play for hours with a high energy dog as I am to provide frequent bathroom breaks and short walks with elderly dogs or to support and calm an anxious dog during a thunderstorm or other event. What you can always count on is that I will pay close attention to your animal and their needs. We are fortunate in Vermont to be surrounded by beautiful walking and hiking trails and I love to spend time outdoors. A dog in my care can be sure that they will get to spend as much quality time outside as possible. If your dog likes to swim we will definitely splash around in one of the nearby lakes or ponds.
