Work from home - loves dogs

Pet care experience

We started on Rover a little over 4 years ago (but have been lifelong neighborhood dog sitters) to see whether having a dog of our own fit into our lives, and we ultimately decided that we actually like the role of puppy Aunt and Uncle best. We have taken care of 50+ dogs over the last 4 years and have many that return regularly to stay with us. We live at the end of a dead end street, with a good size yard, in a quiet neighborhood great for taking walks. We do not have a fenced yard, so all of our pups are on leash at all times when we are outside (even pups that normally don't stray from their owners, we prefer to be cautious). We both work from home (Charles 100%, Annie 3-5 days home depending on the week) and enjoy having the pups hang with us while we work. We do our best to make our home feel as comfortable as possible while pups stay with us. Pups are allowed on our furniture (unless they aren't at home) and they can sleep wherever they are most comfortable, whether that is in their crate, in their own bed, or in our bed. As a general rule, we don't offer any people food to our guest pups, to avoid any tummy troubles or potential allergy issues, but we will happily prepare for them whatever they would normally eat at home. We send a daily photo and a brief update each day, but are happy to send additional photos or updates if you’re feeling like you need an extra check-in at any point! We take up to 3 pups at a time, so depending on the date, they may have some friends here with them. If you'd prefer a solo stay for your pup, we are happy to block the dates, if we don't yet have anyone else booked, just let us know and we can provide pricing for that. We have a toddler and baby in the house, so dogs must be comfortable around small children. We are looking forward to making your dog a part of our family while they are with us! We can’t wait to meet our new house guests! See you soon! Annie and Charles

Super nice and great communication. The dogs seemed very happy when I picked them up. I felt comfortable leaving them and I was so happy I could enjoy our trip knowing the dogs were safe.

Charles and Annie took good care of our 12 year old border terrier, Lexie. They sent photos and followed my instructions about diet, walks, and water intake, and were sensitive to an older dog's needs. They were great about communicating with me. Lexie was happy and didn't need any readjustment when we arrived home...that's always the best sign that she has been well cared for!

We usually wake up around 7 and take the dogs out first thing for a potty break. Then we come inside for breakfast. We both work from home, so the pups usually hang with one of us in our offices while we work. We are able to take breaks to take them out as often as needed during the day. For pups who eat lunch, we usually break for lunch around 12:30 or so, but can offer their meals whenever they usually eat. If your pup eats meals at particular times, just let u know and we'll make sure to stick to their routine. After work, we love to take pups around our neighborhood for a walk or to play in our yard with the kids. We usually go to bed around 10 and take the pups out just before for one last potty break before bed.
