Attentive 1:1 care
Pet care experience
I can meet your dog's energy level and want to make sure they get the best experience out of every session. I only walk 1 dog at a time (unless you want my dog Duncan to join), so you know your dog will get quality attention and loving! I try to do activities that will tired your pup out both physically and mentally -- hide and seek, fetch, walks, whatever it seems like they need. This also varies day to day based on how they are reacting.
Reviews
Annie was fantastic as a house sitter with our two labradoodles. One of our dogs has a lot of meds, and Annie was conscientious about taking notes and getting the details right. While we were away, one dog had a health problem, and Annie contacted me right away. Annie coped graciously when things went awry, and I felt comfortable leaving town even though we had never met before and she was new to Rover. My trust was not misplaced. The only problem is that she’s moved away from the Bay!
Annie is an amazing pet sitter. She has taken great care of my two dogs and one kitty in my home multiple times while I traveled. Each time, I've come home to happy pets and a clean home. She is communicative (I love the updates and photos) and attentive to the details of their care (two pets get regular medications, one of which is challenging to administer). She is also a resourceful problem solver when issues arise around the house. The trust I have in Annie that my pets and home are in good hands is such a comfort while I'm away. She's awesome!
Annie is wonderful! She took such good care of our dear mini-poodle Heart even when Heart had difficulties related to her old age. Annie is very loving and soothing. Highly recommended!
Barley clearly had a blast with Annie and Dunkie! The photos and videos that Annie shared show how much fun he had, which makes me happy :)

Your home: I like to mix in a variety of activities if time permits when I visit dogs in their homes. Often, they have certain activities that they are very excited about. For example, some dogs prefer playing in the living room instead of the backyard because they are used to playing with you in the living room. Others prefer going outside on walks or playing fetch (if their recall is excellent) so I'll prioritize doing that with them. I try to respect your home to the best of my ability (e.g. taking shoes off, putting toys back where they belong, bringing in packages, etc.). I always refill water bowls before leaving. If I am housesitting and taking care of your pets in your home, I will need to bring my dog Duncan along too. He is very friendly and loves making new friends. In addition to taking care of your pets, I water plants, bring in mail, and am open to taking care of other light household duties. I try to stay on whatever routine or schedule your pets are already on. I always do my best to leave your house just as clean if not cleaner than I found it. I wash all linens that I use and make the bed so you can return to a house without any chores awaiting you. My home: I share an apartment with dog Duncan, so your dogs will have lots of company, attention, and love. Due to my health conditions, I can only board hypoallergenic or non-shedding dogs in our apartment. I am home most of the day since I am going to school and working remotely. My 3 year old Golden doodle Duncan LOVES other dogs. We have a backyard where Duncan loves to stretch his legs. Duncan goes on a walk or plays at least 3 times a day, and I can make sure that we follow your dog's schedule too.
Information Annie C. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any special needs or accommodations. I can administer medication and adjust our schedule based on their physical limitations. Also, does your dog get along with most other dogs? Are there any triggers I should be aware of? I also like to have a list of emergency contact information which includes people to contact in case of an emergency, your vet, and your preferred emergency care vet.
A typical day
I love to play with your dog in multiple ways so they get tired out both mentally and physically. I try to stick to your dogs schedule to the best of my ability. If they don't have a strict schedule, then this is what a typical day might look like at my house. Throughout the day, we will have at least 3 1-hour play sessions. A typical day starts with either a long walk, game of fetch, or trip to the dog park (if you're dog is up for it). We come home, eat some breakfast, and then hangout around the house until our after noon activity which will be either a walk or play session. These play sessions vary based on what I think the dogs are in need of. If they need to run around, we'll go on a walk, jog, or play fetch. If they seem like they need some mental stimulation, sometimes we go on a short walk and play hide and seek with toys. In the evening after dinner, we play again. Often this is indoors following a short walk and will include tug, hide and seek, wrestling, or training. Then it's off the bed.

I am currently in grad school and working part-time remotely. My schedule tends to be flexible. I try to be as accommodating as possible. I prioritize communicating schedule conflicts proactively.
