Cancer Survivor & Full Time Walker!

Pet care experience

I grew up on a chicken farm in small town Texas, and most of my childhood memories include puppies and kittens and chickens and generally being surrounded by animals. My childhood dog, Ivy, was an Australian Cattle mix, and the love of my life. In August of 2015, I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 26. I had no family history, and was otherwise an extremely healthy person. Cancer is a funny thing, and it has actually made me a much happier and healthier person. I have learned the hard way that life is short, and you should appreciate every day and every beautiful thing, but mostly dogs because they’re the most wonderful. Also cats. Also all animals. The number one thing my doctors and surgeons have told me to do is: WALK! It's the easiest way to get exercise, and its never too hard on your body, even after surgery! I have been walking dogs full time for almost 5 years now and it is my favorite thing in the entire world. I feel so lucky to get to do this and it brings me joy every single day. I love to hike, walk, play at the park, and will even sing your dog songs on my ukulele! My sister is a service dog trainer, so I know all the tips and tricks to help your pup be the best they can! Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns! And be happy knowing that you are helping support a young person with cancer be happy, healthy, and able to pay the rent! Thank you and I can't wait to meet your animals!

Annie is the best! Sometimes I wake up in the night in a panic of what would happen without her around, she is my dogs favorite person after us. She’s wonderful and kind and attentive and communicative there has been no one better.

I have a sweet goldendoodle named Lemon and two hilarious cats named Ripley and Uncle Baby Billy. We live in an apartment, but close to a giant park. We both work full time as dog walkers so are able to provide flexibility. We love every pet we care for as our own. There is nothing more special than our fluffy companions! We also LOVE taking amazing pet portraits and will send plenty of pics.

Information Annie B. would like to know about your pet

I love all breeds and all sizes of dogs! All I need to know is a little about their personality, likes, dislikes, and anything additional you want to share. I am experienced in dog training and currently training a young pup, so I am happy to help with any training you may be working on, or problems you need help addressing!

A typical day

I love to go to the park and take long walks through grassy neighborhoods. I am a big hiker, and love to take higher energy dogs on hikes, so they are ready for cuddles by the time you get home from work! I want to know what your dog loves! Rope tug for hours? I can do that! Fetch until the sun sets? I also love to do that! Slow walks for an older dog, or one recovering from a recent illness or surgery? Slow and steady is never a problem for me! And I have lots of experience with dogs recovering from surgery, cancer, and all kinds of things!
