Pet care experience
I grew up with 2 poodles (Honey and Lucky) and a miniature pinscher (Chocolate), which definitely made a full and exciting household. Since then, I've done everything I can to keep pets in my life ever since - in my free time, I volunteer at the Humane Society of Huron Valley cleaning up the shelter and walking dogs. I hope to save up enough money through Rover to rescue a dog one day soon. My boyfriend Nick and I live in a spacious 2 bedroom apartment near Michigan Stadium. There are lots of beautiful parks a short distance away from where we live as well as other great places to walk dogs. Young, old, small, or large - I can handle all types of dogs!

My puppy came home happy and tired
Annemarie is really great! She is knowledgeable in dog care, she is attentive and really enjoys having the dogs in her care. She was quick to respond and gave me updates all throughout Gia's time with her. She is patient, professional and very understanding. Gia loves her and gets excited every time we are at her door. We are so glad to have had this opportunity to work with Annemarie!
Annemarie is the perfect person to watch your pooch. She is an exceptional sitter who is caring and responsibility. She has taken great care of my dog and dogs that I have watched through Rover. Her professionalism and charisma makes her one of the best pet sitters I have met.

I'd like to know general preferences for your dog, including whether or not they like children or other dogs (I have neither, but just in case we encounter them on our walks), whether they have a history of aggression/biting/anxiety (this must be disclosed!), and whether or not they're prone to barking (at passing cars, the mailman, etc). For sanity purposes, I prefer watching dogs older than 6 months (but if your pup is mostly house trained I might make an exception).
A typical day
Wurster Park is a short distance away from my apartment. We can play tug-of-war and go for a run. If you have a laid-back dog, we can watch Netflix together on the couch. If you are working on teaching your dog new commands, I can continue training them while you are away.
