While raising my own dog, I dove into the world of training and puppy development. As we worked through obstacles and learned new skills together, I knew I wanted to learn more about canine psychology. In conjunction with countless hours of research, then moving on to study canine behavior at Will Atherton Academy, I have experience training and caring for guardian, working, herding, toy, non-sporting, and sporting breeds— though all are welcome! I am also familiar with caring for cats, rabbits, chickens, and other smaller pets.

Annelliese arrived on time, and took excellent care of Lazlo. She had a very calming effect on him, they got along almost immediately. She sent picture updates regularly, and was just overall a great dog sitter.
Annelliese is lovely and so kind with our dogs. She's knowledgeable about training and did some leash training with our dogs when she stayed. She sent wonderful pictures and left everything clean - she even left us a nice-smelling candle when she left. We highly recommend Annelliese and look forward to her status with our dogs again!

I’d need to know about any medications— dosage and time(s) of dosage— restrictions, aggression, resource guarding, concerns, allergies, and feeding routine when I’m watching over your pets. I’d also love to know what motivates your dog: food, toys, praise, etc. This will help me provide them with the best experience possible. If I am walking your dog(s), it would be great to know what are they reactive to so we can work around those triggers, or work on rehabbing them if desired.
A typical day
I love going on adventures with dogs— whether it’s hiking, venturing to a field to play, or taking a stroll downtown. Mental stimulation enables dogs to really thrive, however. I like to nurture this with tons of sniffing, playing, some obedience or trick training (optional), and other enrichment activities such as frozen kongs and rolling their kibble in a towel. I love to find enclosed, empty fields because it gives them a chance to romp around, play, and experience their zoomies to the fullest extent.
