I’ve successfully taken care of a big American Bull Terrier, my own sophisticated Schnoodle, an elderly Australian Shepherd and Pit Bull, two hyperactive schnauzers, farm cats, house cats, outside cats, pigeons, Society Finches, ravens, fed wild birds and deer and we all had a good time. I’ve also watered plants, taken out garbage, picked up mail, cleaned pool filters, taken dogs for car rides and hikes in vehicles provided by the owners and brushed stickers from dogs. My personality is calming to animals yet I am up for hikes so dogs get plenty of exercise. I’ve taken care of animals in Florida, Wisconsin, Canada, Oregon, Texas and California. It’s one of the several ways that I pursue the pre-retirement lifestyle I like. Cats especially like me, but so do dogs. When the owners come home they tell me that they know their pets were happy because the pets are relaxed and act happy but still excited that their owners are back. What more could you want than a pet that enjoys their sitter’s care and company while you are away?
