Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Anne and I'm a social worker in the mental health field who truly understands the benefits of happy dog endorphins. However, I know that sometimes being a dog owner can have logistical difficulties and stresses. So, I'm here to take some of those stresses off your hands and share in some of those endorphins, too! As a marathoner and trail runner, I'm up for the rambunctiousness of high-energy dogs (actually, I enjoy it!). At the same time, my family adopted an older beagle from the humane society when I was a kid, so I definitely have a soft spot for older and mellower dogs, too. I'm happy just cuddling on the couch! I have cared for many dogs throughout college and have been the "fun aunt" for 6+ coworker's while I lived in Boulder, Colorado for the past 3 years (including golden retrievers, golden doodles, labs, Bernese mountain dogs, corgis, Australian shepherds, boxers, a former African street dog, and various mixes). My partner, Emily, is crazy about dogs as well, so oftentimes you'll get two experienced (and enthusiastic) sitters for the price of one! I will be in Minneapolis for the first half of January and would love to help you care for your pets during thr crazy (and cold) first weeks of the year. Looking forward to meeting you and your dog!
Reviews
Anne and Emily were fantastic. They stayed overnight at our place to take care of our two dogs and cat, and we couldn’t have been happier. They took great care of our pets, they communicated with us throughout, and they left our house clean and tidy. I definitely recommend these two as awesome pet sitters!
Due to a hotel booking error, we had to find pet care at the last minute. We have never used any service to watch our dogs or house sit so we were a bit apprehensive. Anne and Emily came to the house and we had a meet and greet a few days before we left. The dogs didnt bark when they came to the door which is very rare!
Anne loves dogs and it's very clear that dogs love Anne. My dog is a rather finicky girl and can take a while to warm up to folks, but she has been comfortable with Anne since day one. She even knows when we've arrived at Anne's house and will try to nose the gate open to get to her faster. I trust Anne completely. An added bonus: she's a distance runner, so she'll be able to tire your dog out, guaranteed.
Anne took wonderful care of our Bernese Mountain Dog, Oliver, while we were away for a long weekend. She and her partner, Emily, are incredibly responsible caregivers, and kept us up to date with texts and pictures. And Oliver got plenty of time outside and affection while we were away. Highly recommend!

Information Anne & Emily B. would like to know about your pet
All breeds welcome! Some things we'd like to know beforehand: - Does your dog like the car? - Does your dog like to run (and how far)? Any favorite trails or walks? - How does your dog do with other dogs and other people? - Do you have no-furniture rules? - Any other rules we should make sure your dog abides by? - Are you ok with my partner coming along to give your dog double the love?
A typical day
- Walks around the neighborhood - Trips to trails (we have a Subaru Outback that we know can handle at least 2 golden retrievers!) - Trips to the dog park - Runs - Cuddling on the couch (or floor, if you have no-furniture rules) - Playing!
