Pet care experience
I have B.S. in Marine Biology and have an educational background in animal training. My experience as an animal handler at an exotic rescue zoo taught me how to work with animals even in crowded places. I recently worked doing marine mammal rescue where I gained clinical skills as well as more intense animal handling. I am experienced in crating many different animals from rats to kangaroos so if needed I can crate animals of many different sizes. When out for longer walks I make sure to bring supplies to make freshwater available. If transportation is necessary, I am able to fit a large sized crate in the back of my Subaru Impreza.

For house sitting, I am perfectly comfortable sleeping at houses with dogs in bed if requested. As someone with a cat that moves like lightning, and experience at a hands-on zoo, I have a good amount of experience keeping track of escape artists.

A typical day
With more active dogs I like to play a little fetch periodically throughout the day whether its outside or just from one side of the carpet to the other to keep them stimulated throughout the day between walks or just to socialize with them. With less active dogs I am fine with just sitting on the couch with them and keeping them company. Typically if I am long-term house sitting and not instructed otherwise I will leave to do errands but I don't like to leave for periods longer than ~4 hours without coming back and hanging out or at least checking on the pet(s).

For the rest of August and the first week of September I will have completely open availability. After September 11 2023 I will only be available after 4:30pm, or all day on Sundays and Mondays
