Pet care experience
If your new to Rover please use this promo code for $20 off your first booking! Your Promo Code: ANNEB40813 Your pup will be comfy and safe staying in my pet friendly home with a beautiful fully fenced in yard. I have 30 years of experience living with dogs. My first two dogs were high energy and slightly neurotic (but sweet and loving) Vizslas. I currently share my home with two rescue dogs (Maggie-lab mix and Lulu-chihuahua mix) and a sweet natured and very tolerant kitty. I have fostered dogs for two different rescue groups and have had at least 300 dogs in my home (not all at once)… over the course of four very happy years. You cannot imagine the variety of dogs I’ve cared for. While I loved every minute of the fostering experience (especially the day they successfully met their new family…with a few goodbye tears)…. after two foster failures, I have decided to shift my focus and open my home for boarding through Rover. Your family member will be safe and secure during their stay. I have experience with many types, sizes, temperaments, and ages of dogs (including puppies). In addition to my fostering experience, I have volunteered for the Animal Refuge League walking dogs in the community. My background is in behavioral psychology and of course I’ve taken my own dogs to puppy training. I understand the importance of positive reinforcement. I have learned a lot about how dogs get along; the importance of providing them with their own space when needed, and I have an environment that is conducive to promoting positive interactions between your pet(s) and mine. My priority will be making sure your pet is safe, secure, and happy during their stay!
Reviews
Anne is a pro; she did a great job with our dog. When she was not available the morning we left, she offered for us to bring the dog the evening before. Simone had fun with her dogs and seemed to settle in well. We appreciate the good care!
My dog Porter was so excited to see Anne! He loves hanging out with her and her dogs. We never have any worries or concerns leaving our pup with Anne. 100% recommend her!
Anne was wonderful! She gave so many updates on Phoebe while I was away and Phoebe was so well taken care of. I would recommend Anne to anyone looking for a dog sitter!
Anne provided the best care for my sweet little dog. We needed boarding for several days, and this was our first time having Anne watch her. I was concerned with how it would go. However, after meeting Anne and seeing her welcoming home, with other friendly dogs, I was immediately put at ease. Anne’s calm and caring nature, along with daily texts and photos provided the best possible experience for both my dog and me.

I am happy to use a crate for your dog, if that is their routine when left at home. I also have a sunny mud room with a heated floor that can be gated off if your pup needs his or her own space (but they don’t really enjoy a crate) if I leave my home for anything. My yard is completely fenced in. I would not plan to take your dogs off my property without your permission and previous arrangements. My fully fenced in yard has sunny and shady spots and plenty of room for playtime. I sometimes take more than one client at a time if I am familiar with the dogs and feel it would be a good fit. I also check in with my clients to see how they feel about this and ensure everyone is comfortable. My priority is making sure the environment is safe and everyone has fun!

Information Anne B. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any special needs before scheduling. My preference is to care for dogs who are dog and cat friendly. They don’t need to love cats, but there cannot be a history of aggression towards them.
A typical day
A typical day would include an early morning breakfast and access to the back yard….playtime and snuggling… Dogs thrive on consistency and predictable routines. Feeding would occur at regular times. Nap time is important and playtime is even more so.

I do have summers off and I work part time during the school year. I can modify my schedule to work from home on some days. I am usually not gone from my home longer than 4-6 hours on work days and I try to make adjustments to my schedule when needed. I understand how separation can impact some pups. My dogs and my sweet kitty are here to keep your pup company when I have to leave. I’ve recently added limited daycare to my services. I am home on a few days during the work week and if it doesn’t interfere with boarding services, I am opening my home to hosting your pup(s) for the day.
