I’ve owned dogs my entire life so I know how important they are to a family. I love to care for dogs, especially playing with them or taking them for walks. I was previously a pre-veterinary student when I was an undergraduate so I have some academic knowledge about pets and over 200 volunteer hours from my local veterinarian’s office. I also was previously an employee at a dog daycare where I had to care for a variety of dog breeds, ages, and sizes, break up fights and keep them from starting, transport dogs from building to building and sometimes to cars if owners were not able, clean up after dogs both inside and outside, and a variety of other things. I love my dogs with all my heart and expect them to be treated with care so I will, of course, do the same for your pets. I do not have quite as much in-depth experience with cats but I cared for my sister's cat for six weeks while she was away. I still see him and he always reacts well to me so I take that to mean I didn't scare him haha. I have also cared for other cats through Rover and never had issues. For one client, I administered insulin to her cat twice a day for two weeks and was very comfortable doing so. As I have previously said, I have over 200 volunteer hours at my local veterinary clinic which included caring for cats and kittens so I am comfortable taking bookings for cats as well.
