Loving Care Pet & House Sitting

Pet care experience

Hello! I provide loving care for your pets and home so you can travel worry free. I love what I do! Im licensed, bonded, certified in dog and cat first aid/CPR, and Im a certified Reiki practitioner who works on animals. Im 60 years old and a retired K-12 art teacher who has been pet sitting since 2016 after my pup of 13 years passed away. Its best to contact me about my availability rather than rely on the Rover calendar. Animals bring so much into our lives, I try to make their time with me safe, comfortable and enjoyable. I believe animals continually communicate with us, its just a matter of learning their language and listening. You can tell a lot about people by how they treat animals.

Ana is an amazing pet sitter. Our animals love her and she them. She’s watched our pets for us twice and she is so wonderful and caring. She knows what she’s doing and has so much experience. I would recommend Ana to any and everyone that needs an in home pet sitter with competitive rates.

Absolutely the best dog sitter I have ever used. Took awesome care of my 3 pups. Very responsible and sent me pics and videos of the pups often while I was away. Will definitely rebook!!

I've owned a home for 30+ years, so I'm familiar with caring for and managing a house and property. I've also hired pet sitters and house sitters to care for my pup and home, so I know it can be difficult to find someone you can trust with your pet(s) and in your home. PLEASE HAVE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WRITTEN AND AVAILABLE FOR REFERENCE IN YOUR HOME 1) Your pets diet and routines. 2) Food, medication, environmental allergies. 3) Up to date vaccination records. 4) Behavioral or training challenges, health issues, medications theyre on, and any special needs they have. I also like to know what you’re doing now and/or have tried in the past to manage any challenges your pets have. 5) For pups, how much, how often, and what kind of exercise they get. 6) For cats, if they’ve been declawed, and if they’re indoor, outdoor, or both. 7) Emergency contact information. Someone who knows and cares about your pet(s) who can make decisions about them in case you cant be reached. 8) Regular vet and preferred emergency veterinarian contact information. I keep emergency vet contacts on my phone, but if you have a preference, please let me know. 8) Training pups have had. 9) Specific issues to watch with your house and property. 10) Where you keep vacuums, brooms, cleaning supplies, etc. 11) Trash/recycle days

Information Ana W. would like to know about your pet

PET SITTING AGREEMENT - PLEASE READ 1) MEET & GREET INTERVIEW, TRIAL STAYS: Before accepting new clients, I require scheduling an initial 30-60 minute virtual meeting to determine if this is a good fit for everyone. If we decide to continue, we’ll schedule an in person meeting to meet your pets and go over details. If you have a pup who needs walking, I like to take them for a walk at this time, with pet owners, to see how they are on a leash. In some cases, short trial sits and/or walks may be needed before a longer sit if pets are anxious and fearful. I prefer all of this happen before accepting a reservation from a new client, so please plan ahead. 2) FEES, RATES, DISCOUNTS: Pet/house sitting rates are based on 24 hour increments. On the last day of the sit, Rover charges a half day rate for up to 8 hours past the original arrival time and another full day rate for 8 or more hours past the original arrival time. Rover charges pet sitters a 15-25% fee of the total of each booking to use their platform. Pet owners are charged an additional service fee that is not exceed $50.00. These Rover fees go towards providing all the services Rover offers both pet parents and pet sitters. 3) OTHER SPECIES: If you have other types of animal species; fish, reptiles, birds, rabbits, farm animals, etc., I price these on a case by case basis. Contact me, we can discuss it. 4) PET/HOUSE SITTING INCLUDED SERVICES: I take on a limited amount of in home pet care clients. In addition to caring for your pet(s), house sitting services include; bringing in mail and packages, taking trash cans in and out, watering plants, cleaning up after myself, and keeping your house and property safe and operating smoothly. Caring for hobby farms and greenhouses are an additional fee. When staying in your home, I bring a lot of my own food and am generally away from your house about 4-6 hours a day. This is either a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the early evening, or 4-6 hours at one time. If I need to be away longer, I’ll let you know when you book a reservation or as soon as I know. I try to schedule appointments I may have before or after sits but that isn't always possible. Please clean or have your house cleaned prior to the first day of each sit. Im a very tidy person who cleans up after myself but I dont provide housekeeping services. If time permits and laundry machines are available, I’ll wash guest sheets and remake the bed. 5) BOARDING: NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. Im with your pup most of the time they're staying with me. If I need to be away for more than 4 hours, I’ll let you know when you book a reservation or as soon as I know. I try to schedule appointments before or after pet sits but that isnt always possible. I only accept one dog at a time in my home. I may consider 2 dogs from the same household. I have 2 fenced acres for pups to run around on and they are supervised when outside. I do not accept dogs in my home who are incontinent or destructive for any reason; age, not house trained, health related incontinence, marking, or any other reason. NO EXCEPTIONS. I apologize for having to be strict about this. Ive had pet owners not be forthcoming about these issues with their pet(s) which caused a great deal of harm to my home. I board pets one mile outside Crystal River city limits in a single level ranch house on a private dead end dirt road that does not require 4WD. The neighborhood is very quiet and a mixture of houses and mobile homes. The entire 2 acres are fenced with livestock field fencing and an additional wood privacy fence along one side. About 1/2 acre is wooded and for safety reasons pups are not allowed in the wooded area and are supervised when outside. I treat the immediate yard around the house for fleas and ticks but I dont treat the entire property. My late dog was raised here; guarding, exploring, playing, and enjoying a dogs life. What to bring when boarding; their bed, leash, favorite toy, their food, treats, written instructions, veterinary info, vaccination records, emergency contacts, and something of yours that has your scent on it; small blanket, shirt, or something similar. 6) ADDITIONAL SERVICES: I'm happy to accommodate most requests for additional services as long as these are worked out in advance and fees for additional services are agreed by both parties in advance. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like more information or clarification regarding my fees or services. 7) PET TRANSPORTATION, LOCAL DROP OFF AND PICK UP SERVICE: There is a $5.00 fee for a one way pick up or drop off service and $10.00 roundtrip. 8) AVAILABILITY, SCHEDULING, RESERVATIONS: I only take on a limited amount of pet sitting jobs per month. Please check with me about my availability rather than relying on the Rover calendar as I do occassionaly have schedule changes and cancelations. If your travel dates are NOT flexible, please book as far in advance as possible. It’s not uncommon for me to have reservations 6 months to a year in advance. Once you become one of my regular clients, if you know you’ll be traveling during a specific time frame but don't know your exact dates yet, please let me know so I can keep that in mind when coordinating reservations with other pet owners. 9) COMMUNICATION: I like win/win situations where everyone involved in the pet sitting experience, including our very special animal friends, are comfortable and happy. I base my business on mutual respect and kindness... towards all species. If you have concerns at any time, please let me know what they are so we can find a resolution that works for everyone. I generally send pet sitting updates once a day. New clients tend to hear from me more often until I get to know their pets and home. House sitting only client communication is set up on a case by case basis depending on how often clients want to hear from me. 10) TRAINING, COMMANDS, HANDLING: I'm a former K-12 teacher who has interests in animal behavior. I may reinforce training and/or behavioral challenges you're working on with your pet(s) if we work this out in advance. When your pup(s) are with me, I use the commands “wait” and “free”. This is to prevent your pup(s) from running into an unsafe situation. If you’d like me to be consistent with commands you use and how you handle your pets, let me know. I follow basic training principles; repetition, consistency, and positive reinforcement. 11) ROUTINES, DIET, EXERCISE: Its best if you have your pets routine and schedule written so I have something to refer to and can follow their routines for feeding, treats, walking and potty times for dogs. Also include any food allergies and/or food restrictions, commands dogs know, health and behavioral issues, and any other information that will help me keep your pets safe, comfortable and happy. For pet care in your home, if you have one or more young, high energy, large size pup(s), I prefer you have a fenced yard large enough for them to exercise in, in addition to them walking with me. 12) BEHAVIOR & HEALTH ISSUES: It is important to disclose your pets exercise, behavioral, health needs and limitations. I'm a certified Reiki practitioner who works on animals. The more information you provide, the better able I am to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for them. There may be additional fees for pets needing wound care, recovering from surgery, or animals or humans who have any extreme behavioral or special need that requires extra attention. If your pets are experiencing any type of physical illness and/or behavioral challenge that hasn't reached a manageable place, I will expect you to stay in communication with me regarding their care during the sit. 13) EMERGENCY CONTACTS: If there may be times you will be unreachable, please assign a contact person who cares about your pet(s), can be easily reached, and can make decisions regarding your pet(s) in the unlikely event of an emergency. Also include contact information for a 24 hour veterinarian service youre comfortable with along with your regular vets contact information. 14) SURVEILLANCE EQUIPMENT: If you use surveillance equipment in your home, I ask that you please tell me, show me where surveillance equipment is located, and please understand and follow your state and local government laws regarding the use of surveillance equipment in private residences. Florida Audio Recording Law 934.03 Florida Video Recording Law 810.145 Being a homeowner myself and having hired pet sitters and house sitters to care for my home and pets, I understand the use of surveillance equipment. However, if Im staying in your home, out of respect for my personal privacy, I ask that video cameras only be placed and directed at entrance/exit doorways to the house, inside garages and offices, and per Florida law, audio recording features turned off. 15) RENTERS: Pet owners who are tenants in rental properties, I need to know its okay for a pet sitter to stay in the rental. In some situations I may want to have a brief conversation with the landlord as well. 16) CO-SITTERS: If any people will be involved in the care of your pets while I'm sitting for them, I require a brief interview with them. 17) PEOPLE ENTERING YOUR HOUSE OR PROPERTY DURING SIT: For the security of your home and my personal safety, please inform me of dates and times people will be entering your house or property during the sit, for example; repairmen, lawn service, pool service, housekeepers, landlords, friends, neighbors, etc. If someone is on your property or in your house without my prior knowledge, I will assume they are not supposed to be there and contact authorities. 18) INSURANCE & BONDING: I'm licensed and bonded.
