I'm a certified dog trainer with 8 years of animal care experience including pet sitting, dog walking, doggie daycare, some grooming, and shelter adoptions jobs. I hold a K9 First Aid & CPR certificate. I am a force-free, positive-reinforcement trainer, so you can trust me to treat your pup with love and respect. Happy to sit for and walk dogs with leash reactivity and histories of aggression/bite cases, just reach out! Do you have a fearful dog who struggles with stranger danger or is too afraid to go on regular walks? Have a certified trainer care for your picky pup in the most positive and calm way possible when you can't do it yourself. Leaving your dog in the care of a stranger can be hard, but you'll know your pup is in good hands with me.

Anna S. stayed at my home with our almost 5-year-old rescue mix, Westie/Cairn Terrier from March 10 through 17, 2020. He still has some anxiety issues around other dogs, and this was the first time that we have left him with someone other than my daughter or myself since we adopted him. Anna sent me pictures of our little guy cuddling up to her throughout the week. It was obvious that he warmed up to her in no time at all. Having Anna take care of him gave me great comfort while I was away. I would definitely recommend Anna to anyone who needs a house sitter for their four-legged family member, and I would hire her again without question. On another note, Anna took the time and initiative to follow the CDC guidelines and disinfect my home on the 17th prior to my return.
Anna took good care of our doggy over the 4th of July weekend. She was there for to care for our girl during fireworks and thunderstorms! She sent pictures and updates during our trip. She brought her dog along and I think our girl was thrilled to have a friend for a few days. Would definitely recommend using Anna!

Anna is the best. I was in Minnesota when the tornado watch and hail storms came through. I live near the area most likely to be hit. Anna called to see if it would be ok to move my dogs to here home till the danger had passed. My nervous Nellie dog was spared the trauma she has with bad storms. I was very much impressed how she took my dogs feelings into consideration. I will definitely use her again and again.

As a trainer, I am happy to take on jobs for difficult dogs with leash reactivity/aggression, bite histories, stranger danger, extreme high energy/arousal, fear, and other behavioral concerns. I just need to know about the issues up front so that we can create a game plan prior to the job in order to keep the stress as low as possible for me, you, and your pup! I live in Aurora, so I legally cannot board American Pit Bull Terriers/mixes or American Staffordshire Terriers/mixes. I have a small dog, a cat, and caged pets so I cannot board dogs who are reactive or aggressive toward my pets, but I am willing to sit in-home for them.
A typical day
Pups who stay with me will benefit from my knowledge as a trainer and be entertained and well-exercised! Our regular weekday schedule includes a morning walk or fetch session, depending on the energy level of the dog, and breakfast out of puzzle toys to tire out the brain. I am gone from 12-6 from Mon-Thu, so during alone/kennel time pups enjoy a stuffed Kong as a treat. After I get we have a potty break, another short walk, play time inside, dinner, and another potty session before bed.
