Even when I was young, members of my family and close friends would say I was always so “motherly.” Of course as a kid, I thought it sounded funny, but as I got older, I realized what they meant. It’s strange to talk about yourself in this way, but I’d like to believe that the people who know me best would describe me as caring, empathetic, and full of positive energy. A new member to my little family––a mix Australian Shepherd puppy named Ash. Like me, my bubba is quiet, easygoing––old soul, if you will. The two of us are so delighted to welcome a new member to our pack, even if it’s for a short spell. My family and I have always grown up with dogs in our households and spent a lot of time caring for the dogs of our families and neighbors. For example, I’m teaching Ash & May commands in German right now. In the past, I raised a loving but very hyperactive Chocolate Lab, which meant I spent many years in obedience training to keep him healthy, active, and hardworking. He taught me a lot about patience, firmness (when needed), but most of all, a deep connection with our four-legged friends. I am used to being around large breeds, but we are very adept at taking care of all types of breeds, and mega mutts. The larger dogs do require more exercise, attention, and care, but I am up for the task! I are extremely excited to have this opportunity to open my home and my heart to more amazing pups to grace my life with their infectious energy and love! Living life with two dogs, I understand the guilt and discomfort of leaving your precious pet in an anonymous boarding situation. Please know your pup will be in very capable and loving hands.
