Pet care experience
Hello everyone! My name is Anna. I recently graduated from Dartmouth College and I’m living and working part-time in the Brighton/Boston area while applying to medical school. You may have seen me around the neighborhood walking my former roommates dog daily, and I’m missing having a dog in my life as they bring me so much joy! I have extensive experience in pet care including animal humane society volunteer work, foster care, and raising my family’s Lab, Samoyed, German Shepard, and bunny. My house-sitting experience ranges from a 4-dog, multi-animal household to a sick 10-week-old puppy who needed to be monitored and administered medication regularly. I currently work part-time as a Medical Assistant and spend a lot of time at home studying for the MCAT. I am a registered EMT, and I have also taken a course in animal first aid (certified in dog CPR). I love dogs and puppies of all shapes, sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I am open to setting up reoccurring scheduled appointments as well as casual/irregular appointments that work with you and your pet’s schedules.

Anna did a great job with my 2 dogs and 1 cat. One of my dogs is young, strong, and high energy and can be a challenge on walks, and Anna handled her well, which is just what I needed. She was quick to answer my text questions about how things were going and was very flexible and responsible. I highly recommend her.

Dog boarding info: I live in a spacious, newly renovated, pet-friendly duplex (first floor) with a large fenced-in patio (with dog gate) and a great sized grass backyard where we used to spend a lot of time outside with my roommate’s dog as well as the upstairs neighbor’s golden puppy. We have a kiddie pool and grounded dog tether for supervised outdoor play.

Since there are many dogs in the area, I’d love to know about your dog’s reaction to passing other dogs on the sidewalk and any history of aggressive behavior to keep your pup, myself, and the community safe. :)
A typical day
I like to walk around the many parks in my neighborhood, as well as the Chestnut Hill reservoir and the Boston College campus. I also have a large SUV and would be happy to take your dog to a nearby dog park (Hunnewell, Watertown, etc.) with their permit.
