Experienced attentive dog sitter!
Pet care experience
I have cared for multiple different breeds of dogs and puppies from 10 pounds to 70. I love all kinds of dogs. I cared for a Shelties, Aussies, German Shepards, Pit bulls, Terriers, Labradors, Golden Doodles, Corgis, French bulldogs and more. I'm experienced with puppies as young as 3 months old. I have potty trained and crate trained puppies. I can teach puppies how to properly walk on a leash and basic commands for safety in public settings and at parks. I live next to multiple parks and enjoy taking long or short walks depending on the dog's energy level. I have an air-conditioned apartment that will be comfortable for dogs in the summer. I also live in a dog-friendly building. I work from home and am available to take dogs out multiple times a day and give them plenty of attention, meals, play time and cuddles. My mom is a licensed dog trainer, and I have had the opportunity to train dogs with her. I am a full-time remote employee. I am able to prioritize the needs of the particular dog(s) around my work schedule.
Reviews
Anna P. cancelled a booking 4 days before it was scheduled to begin.
I'd give Anna 6 stars if I could. She was wonderful with our dog Joey, sent us pics every day, was very communicative. We could tell she truly enjoyed having Joey at her home. Thank you Anna!
Anna was so amazing with our pup, Fitz! This was our first vacation away from our rescue dog and we felt so comfortable leaving him with Anna. She gave us lots of updates and gave Fitz lots of play time. He loved her and is excited to visit again!
Anna was incredible! She handled a rambunctious, high energy dog while taking great care of our house. She was extremely communicative, sending us lots of goofy photos of our pup, who was clearly in love with her. She was especially patient with getting our dog to calm down in response to fire works. If you want someone responsible who will care for your dog like their own, Anna is a great choice.

Information Anna P. would like to know about your pet
It would be helpful to know: breed, size, potty trained, crate trained, the amount of exercise you would like them to have, any dietary restrictions, any medications that need to be administered, and how they interact with other dogs.
A typical day
If you have an energetic dog(s), I love to take dogs to the park to play for a good hour with toys and give them an opportunity to run around on leash. If the owner is comfortable, I can use a 10 ft leash so they can fetch and run while still staying safe. I'm a regular at Crispus Attucks Park and Rock Creek Park. I also like to go for walks in the mornings and evenings and incorporate play time and lots of attention mid-morning and mid-afternoon. I can take dogs to a dog park if the owner is comfortable with them interacting with other dogs, but I would first want to ensure the dog is friendly and enjoys playing with other dogs of different breeds and sizes. I have a variety of different toys to play with the dogs that range for toys that squeak to mentally stimulating puzzles (getting food out of toys or toys within toys that dogs have to figure out). I also advise bringing chew toys if you're considering boarding your dog for the night. They are soothing for dogs, helpful during meal times, and particularly good for puppies when they are teething. I like to get out at least 3-4 times a day if the dog is high energy. If it's an older dog, I will stick to the guidance by the owner for the appropriate amount of exercise and interaction with other dogs. My apartment provides comfortable places for dogs to lay and be next to me while I work. I will remain attentive to the dog throughout the day for potty breaks, exercise and meals. I am comfortable having dogs on my couch and bed if they are potty trained. I can also provide bathing for smaller dogs for an additional fee ($30 dollars). I can provide potty training and crate training for an additional fee. (Must provide your own crate). I can teach basic commands including sit, stay, drop-it, and work with puppies that like to chew everything to develop better habits with consistent commands, training, and treat incentives. For puppies, I charge an extra fee for boarding because puppies usually can't hold their bladder for more than 4-5 hours. I will set an alarm when dog sitting puppies, and keep then in the same room I sleep in to ensure I hear them if they wake up and need attention or need to go out. I typically get up around 2 or 3 AM to let puppies go to the bathroom and then am able to get up around 5:30-6AM when they tend to want their first meal and a morning walk. I can administer medication if a dog or puppy needs it, but I first need to be informed ahead of time about the quantities and times they need to be administered. Happy to answer any additional questions via text, phone or FaceTime.

Availability
I typically go on morning, afternoon, and evening walks and then do playtime mid morning and mid afternoon either in my apartment or at the park depending on comfort level of the dog/owner. I will rotate this depending on the weather and can do earlier morning and evening exercise to avoid the hottest parts of the day. I can also incorporate training for puppies if the owner desires specific training. I am able to do overnight care at my apartment or at an owner's home.
