I have had a dog almost all of my life, and I just adore them. The unconditional love they have for their owners is truly amazing. Sadly, our elderly lab mix, Max, passed away in February 2023. I miss our Max very much, but I am not quite ready to adopt another dog yet. I am a mom to 2 Stanwood HS teens, a retired military spouse (Go Navy!), and I work part time as a pediatric home health RN. My background is in the Operating Room, a Cardiology/Vascular clinic, triage and clinical research. I love exercising, and I would love to take your dog on a walk, play or just take care of them in their home when needed. I can definitely get a good hearty walk in, or I can slow it down for an elderly dog. I also have experience taking care of cats which includes cleaning the kitty litter box, feeding and providing water. I like to do meet and greets on neutral territory outside your home prior to the first walk/visit so I can get to know your dog and they can get to know me a little (and to make sure we are a good match) and to also go over your expectations for the walk/visit - and to establish exactly what you would like me to do. I understand that things come up, so if you need to cancel at the last minute - you will get a full refund. I am willing to walk/visit dogs up to 40 pounds, and I do ask that they be leash trained and not pull excessively. I definitely expect some occasional pulling on walks (just not excessive pulling).
