Pet care experience
I have been a dog lover all my life. I have a 3 & 1/2 year old mixed breed dog named Finn. We lost our beloved yellow lab Daisy in May 2018 and we miss her every day. We have cared for many neighbors and friends dogs over the past 15 years. We live in a peaceful, serene area in Vienna with a 1/2 acre, completely fenced in yard that backs up to parkland. Our backyard is a dogs paradise! We also have walking trails and the connector to the W & OD trail right in our neighborhood! We truly treat our dogs and dog visitors like family...they lounge on our couches and sleep in our bedroom (if that is their preference). While I prefer for dogs to be crate trained it is not a requirement so long as they are well trained and mature. Currently I am only available on the weekends. However, I am a preschool teacher and once school is out for the summer I will be available during the week as well. I have 3 wonderful teenage son's that are dog lovers too and will give them extra TLC whenever home from school! My husband works full time but he also loves dogs and enjoys dog walks on the weekends!

Lois had a blast with Anna's family and dogs. Anna was professional and warm throughout the process. She sent lots of pictures of Lois and reassured me that Lois was doing well. Lois misses all the activity!
Anna (and her family) are wonderful hosts/pet sitters. All the communication in advance was clear and perfect. Anna has a great fenced in yard with plenty of room for dogs to play. Our dog, Piper, loved Anna's home and dogs -- Finn and Daisy. Her dogs are friendly, well behaved with excellent temperament. They are easy playmates. Anna sent me several photos during Piper's stay so we knew she was happy and well cared for! We were able to relax and enjoy our time away knowing our precious pup was in great hands!
Anna was fabulous and we will definitely be returning when our pup needs a sitter! He came home exhausted and happy after a wonderful weekend of long walks, playtime in the backyard and lots of snuggles.
I wish there were more stars as 5 is not enough. This was our first time leaving our 7month old puppy for a few days. Anna's hospitality and care for our puppy exceeded all our expectations. She continuously updated us and sent wonderful pictures which elevated our worries and made our trip more enjoyable. Anna's two dogs were sweet and they made wonderful playmates, we are back home now and looks like Sasha is missing their company. We are looking forward to arrange a playdate soon:) L.Z.

Is your dog comfortable around other dogs? Does he or she enjoy playing with other dogs? Is your dog housebroken? I only take dogs that are spayed and/or neutered. My young dog Finn LOVES playing with other dogs and loves playing in our backyard. My senior dog Daisy is slowing down and prefers to sleep and lounge most of the day :) While I prefer dogs to be crate trained it is not mandatory so long as the dog is well trained and/or mature.
A typical day
If your dog loves the outdoors he or she can spend much of the day romping in our backyard. If they prefer the indoors he or she can hang out lounging on our couch or one of our comfy dog beds. We will go for walks on the local W & OD trail and the various neighborhood trails and paths.
