If there's ever been anyone who loves dogs most, it's me! I even wrote an ethics paper over our moral obligation as human beings to care for dogs in my graduate program. Some call me crazy, and some totally understand!!! Growing up an avid dog lover, I've cared for our family dogs since I was in preschool. We have had many Golden Retrievers as a family, and when I turned 12 years old, I got a dog of my very own. He was a small dog who became my closest companion, and in his old age, he became very ill. For four months I woke up every hour each night to clean him, carried him everywhere as he was unable to walk, made him scrambled eggs which I hand fed to him twice a day, and slept on the floor with him in his last days to ensure he was most comfortable. Now, my husband and I have an Aussiedoodle and a Golden Retriever. They’re both so sweet and have totally opposite personalities. The Aussiedoodle is a wild child who is very energetic, demanding we have an active lifestyle. Daily runs, visits to the dog park, and multiple walks every single day are absolute musts. Our Golden boy is much more laid back and prefers to just chill. Cuddles abound for the sweetest and squishiest boy! Throughout my lifetime (starting when I was two), I've had the privilege to care for and love on dogs of different sizes, personalities, and abilities! I would love to love on your pups, too!!
